Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival. Bezengi Gorge

    09:00-09:30 (Moscow time) Gathering of the group at the airport and at the Mineralnye Vody railway station. 

    We will meet in Mineralnye Vody and, without wasting time, we will leave for the highest mountainous region of our country — Bezengi.

    Upon arrival, we will set up tents and take a walk in the surroundings of the alpine camp.

    In the evening, we'll have dinner at one of the local cafes, get to know each other better and discuss plans for the next day.

  • Day 2 - Transfer to the parking lot "Second field near Brno"
  • Day 3 - Radial exit to Cadet overnight stays + transfer to overnight stays "Under the Roof"
  • Day 4 - Radial exit to a warm corner and descent to the alpine camp

The route involves backpacking at altitudes up to 3,000 m and light radial exits at altitudes up to 3,600 m. All overnight stays in tents: on the territory of the Bezengi alpine camp (3 nights) and at unprepared parking lots in the Bezengi and Mizhirgi gorges (3 nights). The highest overnight altitude is 2900 m.

The program is designed for tourists with experience of mountain trekking or classic hiking. It is possible to participate without the experience of camping and living in a tent, provided that you follow the list of equipment and the recommendations of the instructor. This event is not suitable for the first time exploring the mountains, as well as for people who are not ready to fully participate in hiking and traveling with a large backpack at the distances and heights specified in the program.

The route runs at an altitude of 1560-2940 m.

  • transfer from Mineralnye Vody to the Bezengi alpine camp and back;
  • accommodation in a personal tent at a paid parking lot on the territory of the Bezengi alpine camp and the use of infrastructure (shower, toilet, electricity, storage of personal belongings during trips from the camp);
  • 3 meals per day on the route (1-6 days), except: lunch on the 1st day of the tour and dinners on the 1st, 4th and 6th days;
  • environmental fees in the Kabardino-Balkarian Nature Reserve;
  • support for the control and rescue point of the Bezenga alpine camp;

Paid extra

  • air and railway tickets to Mineralnye Vody and back;
  • personal equipment: tent, sleeping bag, mat, backpack, trekking poles, climbing helmet. It can be rented from the organizer or at the alpine camp.;
  • insurance (it is recommended to apply for insurance for the duration of the event with the extension "active recreation and extreme: trekking");
  • Meals: lunch on day 1 of the tour and dinners on days 1, 4 and 6.

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Clothing and shoes:

  • high trekking boots (worn out);
  • closed shoes for the camp (crocs / galoshes / light sneakers);
  • trekking socks 2 pairs (thick high-top);
  • 2 pairs of socks for camping and sleeping (one warm, the other casual);
  • trekking pants (synthetic without insulation);
  • lingerie
  • synthetic long sleeve T-shirt;
  • synthetic short sleeve T-shirt;
  • fleece jacket;
  • windbreaker without insulation or a membrane jacket;
  • thin down jacket or down vest;

For food:

  • KLMN (mug, spoon, bowl, knife);
  • the water tank on the route is 0.5-0.7liters;

First aid kit:

  • good elastic bandage 1.5-2 m;
  • medications for common disorders that you use in everyday life (head, stomach, fever, allergies);
  • medications that you take as prescribed by your doctor;

Cosmetic bag:

  • sun cream;
  • hygienic lipstick (preferably with spf);
  • brush and paste;
  • everything for the shower (can be stored in the alpine camp for the duration of the route);
  • towel (preferably quick-drying);
  • toilet paper;
  • wet toilet paper;
  • a few bags for personal trash;
