Our tour begins with the most pleasant part of it – traditional Caucasian hospitality.
As is customary in the Caucasus, guests, first of all, need to be fed.
In order to plunge into the world of legendary Caucasian cuisine, we are going to lunch.
After a hearty lunch, we will begin to get acquainted with the capital of our Republic.
Makhachkala is a young city, but bright, colorful and so truly alive, it perfectly knows how to combine tradition and modernity.
To begin with, we will visit the heart of Makhachkala – the Central Juma Mosque or Yusuf Bey Jami, admire its architecture and plunge into peace and quiet.
Next, we will go to the Alibek Tahoe-Godi National Museum, after which we will visit the Holy Dormition Cathedral.
And now let's take a closer look at the folk crafts of Dagestan.
To do this, we will head to the NHP Center, where we will take part in a master class on Balkhara ceramics.
Since ancient times, Balkhara ceramics has kept ancient motifs in the decor.
They have been present in Dagestan ceramics since the 20th millennium BC.
Craftsmen from the village of Balkhar specialize in the manufacture of jugs, mugs, bowls and other vessels decorated mainly with fine white paintings.
We will complete our acquaintance with the city with a walk along the Rhodope Boulevard, named after the Rhodope mountain range, located in Bulgaria.
There is a city embankment and a beach, a summer garden, Avar and Kumyk theaters. The avenue is a concentration of monuments in honor of cultural and artistic figures of Dagestan. You will briefly plunge into the leisurely life of carefree citizens, for whom the boulevard is a favorite place for walking.
Transfer to the hotel for check-in, free time.
