After passing through the longest road tunnel in Russia, 4,304 m long, you will find yourself in the very heart of Dagestan.

Along the way, you will find the rugged peaks of the rocky mountains, the Gimrinskaya Tower, where the first imam of Dagestan fell in battle.

Today we are waiting for a master class on Untsukul products.

The business card of an ancient Dagestan village is a special metal carving on wood.

At the master class, you will get acquainted with the craft that made Untsukul famous, learn what types of wood are used, how the pattern is selected and applied, and what helps to give the products durability.

After visiting the Untsukult people, we will continue our journey and make a stop almost in the heart of mountainous Dagestan.

Here we will pause our thoughts and enjoy the incredible beauty of these majestic mountains and the emerald waters of the Irganai reservoir.

Inspired by the views, we will go to lunch, where dishes of traditional Avar cuisine will be presented.

After lunch, we explore the mountainous village of Gunib.

The history of this village is inextricably linked with the name of Imam Shamil and the end of the long Caucasian war.

The Museum of Local Lore will introduce us to the history of the village and the way of life of its inhabitants.

And during a walk through the Verkhny Gunib Nature Park, we will visit places related to the end of the Caucasian War in Dagestan.

Today we are waiting for the most recognizable attraction of Dagestan, the deepest canyon in Europe.

The famous green ribbon of the Sulak Canyon, twisting between the narrow cliffs, sparkling in the sun, carries its waters from the Chirkeyskaya hydroelectric dam to the Miatlin dam.

From the observation deck of the village of Dubki, you will have a view of its most spectacular curves.

A speedboat ride through the largest reservoir in the North Caucasus will provide you with vivid emotions (for an additional fee starting from 700 rubles).

Our lunch will be held on the territory of the Rahat tourist complex, where we will be offered delicious trout or barbecue to choose from.

And to add even more vivid emotions to this day, after lunch (for an additional fee — 500 rubles) We will go to explore the Nokhyo cave complex, which consists of three caves connected by a suspension bridge at an altitude of 60 meters from the water surface of the Sulak River.

Our excursion program ends with a walk through ancient Derbent.

We begin our acquaintance with Derbent from the Naryn-Kala citadel, where we will learn about the ancient history of the fortress, which for hundreds of years protected the city from the invasion of nomads and conquerors.

Leaving the fortress behind, we will stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, enveloped in the aromas of fresh pastries, here we will definitely feel the unique oriental flavor of Derbent.

Ancient historical and architectural monuments have been preserved in the old city in an extraordinary way, including one of the five oldest mosques in the world, the Juma Mosque, built in 733.

To take away not only memories, but also memorable gifts, the program includes a visit to the oriental bazaar and souvenir shop, where you can buy local handicrafts, tea, sweets and much more.

After visiting the historical part of Derbent, we will have a Dagestan national immersive meal, a gastronomic master class and a carpet weaving workshop at the Derbent ethnodome.

After lunch, we will walk along the new city embankment and the section of the street of the Tourist Mile project.

And let's end our day with a visit to the largest multimedia fountain in Russia.
