Having thoroughly prepared for the assault, you will wake up at midnight, pack your backpacks and set off to conquer the legendary volcano with pleasant excitement. Before that, acclimatization awaits you — first a short ascent, then a climb along a snowy plateau, and also an exit to the rocks.

The route is technically not the most difficult. Guides will advise, train, and ensure the safety and success of the ascent. At the end, there will be a gala dinner with the presentation of certificates — symbols of your efforts and achievements.

During the snow and ice classes, you will practice important skills: walking in cats and using an ice axe.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Transfer to Terskol
We will meet you at the airport or at the Mineralnye Vody railway station — the path to the majestic Elbrus begins here.
A comfortable group transfer awaits you to the cozy village of Terskol, where you can relax and prepare for an adventure.
A group transfer from the railway station departs at 13:00, from the airport at 14:00. At the airport, tourists are greeted by a representative of the company with a sign at the exit of the arrival hall.
Choose flights based on this, taking into account the time for baggage collection and possible delays.
You will spend 3-3.5 hours on the way.
If your flights do not meet the departure time of the group transfer, you can always book an individual transfer for an additional fee.
In the evening, we will help you pick up the equipment, and you can rent the missing ones.
There will be free time for relaxation or unforgettable impressions — we recommend visiting the national Balkarian restaurant, where you can enjoy local delicacies and even go trout fishing.

Day 2 - Trekking to Terskol Peak or Cheget Mountain
Breakfast at the hotel. On this day, the acclimatization process will begin.
An exciting climb to one of the most beautiful mountains in the region awaits you. It will take about 6 hours on foot, and from the top you can admire the Baksan Gorge and the Donguz-Orun and Kogutai mountains.
Lunch on a mountain overlooking the Caucasus Mountains (lunch box).
After the descent, you will discuss the program for the next day with your guide. In your free time, we recommend that you walk to the Narzan Valley or order a wood-burning sauna.

Day 3 - Cable car to Gara Bashi station, acclimatization exit to the shelter
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Azau glade.
The cable car will take you above the clouds to Gara Bashi station. From here, an important acclimatization exit begins — an ascent along a snowy plateau with non-steep ascents to an altitude of about 4,000 meters to the famous Diesel Hut shelter.
It will take about 1.5 hours to climb, and the reward will be spectacular views and the opportunity to feel like a part of this majestic nature.
The main thing is to take time for snow and ice classes, it is on them that the skills that can save your life are practiced.
As a result, you will learn how to walk in cats and use ice axes.
After a snack (lunch box), you will set off on the way back to the cable car, which will lead you to the foot.
After the rest, you will discuss the program for the next day and prepare for the exit to the high-altitude area.

Day 4 - Acclimatization access to the Pastukhov rocks
Early breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Azau glade.
You will take the cable car up to the Gara-Bashi station again and from there you will go to the Pastukhov rocks, at the same time honing your movement skills on ice and snow areas.
At an altitude of 4,700 meters, the sparkling peaks of the Main Caucasus Range will leave incredible memories.
After lunch on the mountain (lunch box), you will descend back to the base.
The entire exit will take about 5-6 hours.
In the evening, we will hold a final briefing and discuss all the nuances of the upcoming ascent.

Day 5 - Preparing for the ascent
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Azau glade.
It's time to move to the mountain. You will have an eventful day. Get acquainted with additional guides who will ensure your safety during the ascent to the top.
Lunch at the shelter, time to relax. Do not forget about the early lights out, because you need to gain strength for tomorrow's breakthrough to the goal.
If the weather forecast is favorable and the forecast worsens in the following days, if the group is prepared, the guide may suggest using this day as an attempt to climb.

Day 6 - Climbing Mount Elbrus West 5642 m
Early ascent at 02:00, quick packing and start to the highest peak in Europe. You will take lunch boxes and thermoses with hot tea with you.
It will take about 9 hours to climb, and around noon you will be able to admire the breathtaking scenery. In good weather, you can even see the Black Sea from the top of Mount Elbrus.
Attention! Regardless of the result, from 13:00, the movement of all group members is carried out only downwards.
The total time to climb is about 12 hours.
For an additional fee, it is possible to climb a snowmobile to an altitude of up to 5,000 meters. In this case, the exit is shifted 2-3 hours later.
The cost starts from 12,000 rubles/person.
After returning, you will be able to relax and share your emotions. Dinner, overnight at the shelter on the mountain.

Day 7 - Reserve day
After a delicious breakfast, go down to the foot of Mount Elbrus, and you will have a whole day to relax and enjoy nature. This is a great chance to relax and recuperate.
Activities for an additional fee:
do not miss the opportunity to complement your trip with an excursion to the Chegem waterfalls or the picturesque Adyr-Su gorge (excursions are organized only on an individual basis);
horseback riding (from 1,500 rubles) and fishing are available for outdoor enthusiasts (only in restaurants and cafes, the price is based on the weight of the fish).
And in the evening, you will have a gala dinner with the presentation of certificates — symbols of your efforts and achievements. This is a moment worth celebrating among like-minded people who have received the same unforgettable emotions and impressions.
If the previous day did not give you good weather, the guide will decide to use a reserve day for climbing.

Day 8 - Departure
Breakfast.
Free time. Check out of the room before 12:00.
Transfer to the airport or Mineralnye Vody railway station for flights departing from 18:00.
For tourists arriving/leaving at other times, individual transfers can be arranged for an additional fee.
The surcharge for an individual transfer from Elbrus to Mineralnye Vody starts from 6500 rubles.

Laguna Hotel

It is located in a pine forest, at the turn to the Cheget clearing.

Modern and well-equipped rooms. Each room has a TV, a set of necessary utensils, a telephone, and a balcony. In the bathroom: shower, hairdryer, set of branded toiletries.

Infrastructure: restaurant, bar, sauna, billiards, wi-fi, guarded Parking, ski storage. The hotel has a cafe with a light and friendly atmosphere. The menu features dishes of national and European cuisine.

I had no prior climbing experience, but I lead an active lifestyle and go trekking in the mountains every summer. I chose this tour based on my background, with the goal of summiting Mount Elbrus at a time that suited me. The tour was well-organized to support that goal — there were enough experienced guides, and the program focused on proper acclimatization rather than pushing participants to the point of dropping out due to excessive strain. Another bonus was the surprisingly comfortable living conditions — even staying in unheated rooms and taking turns cooking felt enjoyable. Unfortunately, the summit attempt was canceled due to strong winds at the top. However, the tour provider was very accommodating, and we stayed an extra day at the assault camp in hopes of better weather.

Overall, everything was fine. The only downside was that there was a bit too much repeated information in the chat, so it was sometimes hard to remember which file contained the information I needed. Otherwise, everything was great
