Elbrus is the highest peak not only in the Caucasus, but also in Europe. This dormant volcano deservedly attracts a huge number of climbers.

And although our route is technically not very difficult, nevertheless, it conceals its dangers, the main of which is insidious and changeable weather. The most favorable time for climbing is from mid-July to the end of August. In addition, it should be noted that 60% of the success of the ascent depends on the guide. Our company cooperates only with experienced and highly qualified guides. The program of acclimatization and the ascent itself has been worked out many times, professional guides provide consultations on preparation and fully control the process.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Transfer from Mineralnye Vody to Terskol village
Meeting at the airport or at the railway station of Mineralnye Vody with a guide with a sign "Climbing Elbrus from the South" at the exit of the arrival hall.
Transfer to the village. Terskol at 14:00 (3-3.5 hours on the way).
An individual transfer can be arranged upon request.
Accommodation in a hotel, rest.
Meeting with the group's guide, briefing.
Checking and selecting personal equipment, missing equipment can be rented on site.
Free time for recreation, entertainment and exploring the region.
For an additional fee, you can spend quite a variety of time.
Gourmets will be advised to visit the national Balkar restaurant, where, while waiting for the preparation of dishes, you can go trout fishing.
Supper.

Day 2 - Trekking to the mountain "Terskol Peak" or the mountain "Cheget"
Breakfast at the hotel.
On this day, the acclimatization process begins.
Exit to Terskol Peak or Cheget Mountain.
A hike to the top and a descent back, which takes from 4 to 6 hours.
Lunch at the national cafe.
Return to the hotel.
Briefing with a guide, discussion of the program for the next day.
In your free time, you can take walks in the surrounding area, visit the Narzan Valley or visit the sauna (for an additional fee).
Supper.

Day 3 - Cable car ascent to Gara Bashi station, acclimatization exit to the shelter
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the Azau clearing.
Cable car ascent to Gara Bashi station (3847m above sea level).
Acclimatization access to ice classes to Shelter 11 (4050m above sea level, 2-3 hours).
Climbing a snowy plateau with non-steep takeoffs (up to 8-10 degrees) 1-1.5 hours up, a short rest in the Diesel Hut area, a snack and descent to the cable car (30-40 minutes).
Rest.
Discussion of the program for the next day, preparation for the exit to the high-altitude area and the Pastukhov rocks.
Supper.
Rest at the hotel.

Day 4 - Acclimatization access to the Pastukhov rocks
Early breakfast.
Transfer to the Azau clearing.
Cable car ascent to Gara Bashi station (3847m above sea level).
Acclimatization exit to the Pastukhov rocks (4700 m above sea level, from 4 to 5 hours), ice classes.
Lunch lunch box.
Descent to the hotel.
After relaxing over dinner, you will receive a final briefing on the ascent.
Supper.

Day 5 - Preparation for the ascent to the summit of Elbrus Zapadnaya (5642 m above sea level)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the Azau clearing.
Cable car ascent to Gara Bashi station (3847m above sea level).
Check-in at the shelter.
A day of rest.
Conducting snow and ice classes, walking, sleeping.
The guide introduces the group to additional guides who will insure you during the ascent to the top.
If the weather forecast is favorable and the forecast worsens in the following days, if the group is prepared, the guide may suggest using this day as an attempt to climb.
Early dinner, rest.

Day 6 - Making an ascent to the summit of Elbrus Zapadnaya (5642 m above sea level)
The day of climbing Elbrus.
Early rise at 02:00.
For an additional fee, it is possible to climb on a snowmobile (snow-sealing machine with a body for transportation) to a height of up to 5000 meters.
In this case, the output is shifted to a later time.
Then the ascent to the western peak of Elbrus begins (5642 m above sea level).
During the ascent — a snack (dry rations), with thermos flasks with tea or hot drink.
The time spent on the ascent is 7-9 hours.
The total time is about 12 hours.
The peak (5642 above sea level) is usually reached at 11-13 o'clock in the afternoon (depends on the rate of ascent of the group).
Regardless of the result, from 1 p.m. onwards, the movement of all group members is carried out only downwards.
After returning to the shelter, rest and dinner.
Overnight at the shelter.

Day 7 - Free (reserve) day
Breakfast.
By lunchtime, you go down to the bottom and have a day to relax.
As additional services, it is possible to organize excursions to the Chegem waterfalls or the Adyr-Su gorge, horseback riding, fishing.
Dinner with the presentation of certificates.
If the previous day did not give you good weather, the guide will decide to use a reserve day.
Descent to the hotel.

Day 8 - Transfer to Mineralnye Vody
Breakfast, free time, check out of the room before 12:00.
Transfer to the airport or railway station in Mineralnye Vody.

The tour includes accommodation in a 3* hotel in the Cheget meadow (5 nights) and in a shelter on the mountain (2 nights).

The possible accommodation options are listed below. It can be replaced with similar ones.

Laguna 3* Hotel, Cheget Glade

The Laguna Hotel is located in a pine forest, at the turn to the Cheget meadow. The hotel offers accommodation in 23 cozy rooms of the "Standard", "Junior Suite" and "Suite" categories. The rooms are modern and well equipped. Each room has a TV, a set of necessary utensils, a telephone, and a balcony. In the bathroom: shower, hairdryer, set of branded toiletries.

Infrastructure: restaurant, bar, sauna, billiards, wi-fi, secure Parking, ski storage. The hotel has a cafe with a light and friendly atmosphere. The menu offers dishes of national and European cuisine. Guests can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee in the hotel's lobby bar. Breakfast buffet from 7.00 to 10.00 (with a small load – a set menu)

The new building of the Snow Leopard Hotel was put into operation at the end of 2017. The new building houses standard TWIN and DBL rooms, as well as Suites. The interior of the standard rooms is concise and simple, the design suggests calm colors and shades.
