Elbrus is the highest peak not only in the Caucasus, but also in Europe. The program of acclimatization and the ascent itself has been worked out many times, the guides consult on the preparation and fully control the process. We have thought through everything so that you can prepare for the assault of the mountain in a high-quality way, without compromising your comfort. Excellent hotels at the foot have been chosen for accommodation, and caring chefs make sure that the food is not only satisfying, but also delicious.

The main highlight of the program is the unique training system. You will spend only two nights on the mountain, and the rest of the time in the comfort of the hotel at the foot, so you can get enough sleep and recover, increasing your chances of a successful ascent. Your safety will be provided by one guide for three climbers.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Transfer to Terskol
We will meet you at the airport or at the Mineralnye Vody railway station — your journey to the majestic Elbrus begins here!
A comfortable group transfer to the cozy village of Terskol awaits you, where you can relax and prepare for an adventure.
You will spend 3-3.5 hours on the way.
If your flights do not meet the departure time of the group transfer, you can always book an individual transfer for an additional fee.
Important! A group transfer from the railway station departs at 13:00, from the airport at 14:00.
Choose flights based on this, setting the time for baggage collection and possible delays.
In the evening, we will help you pick up the equipment, and you can rent the missing ones.
You will have free time for relaxation or unforgettable impressions — we recommend visiting the national Balkar restaurant, where you can enjoy local delicacies and even go trout fishing!

Day 2 - Trekking to the mountain "Terskol Peak" or the mountain "Cheget"
Breakfast at the hotel.
On this day, the acclimatization process will begin.
An exciting climb to one of the most beautiful mountains in the region awaits you.
The walk will take about 6 hours, and from the top you can admire the Baksan Gorge and the Donguzorun and Kogutai mountains.
Lunch on the mountain overlooking the Caucasus Mountains (lunch box).
After the descent, you will discuss the program with the guide for the next day.
In your free time, we recommend you to walk to the Narzan Valley or order a wood-burning sauna.

Day 3 - Cable car ascent to Gara Bashi station, acclimatization exit to the shelter
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the Azau clearing.
Today, the cable car will take you above the clouds to the Gara Bashi station.
An important acclimatization exit starts from here – an ascent along a snowy plateau with non-steep takeoffs up to about 4000 meters to the famous shelter "Diesel Hut".
It will take about 1.5 hours to climb, and the reward will be spectacular views and the opportunity to feel like a part of this majestic nature.
The main thing is to take time for snow and ice classes, it is on them that skills that can save your life are practiced.
As a result, you will learn how to walk on cats and use ice axes.
After a snack (lunch box), you will set off on your way back to the cable car, which will lead you to the foot.
After the rest, you will discuss the program for the next day and prepare for the exit to the high-altitude area.

Day 4 - Acclimatization access to the Pastukhov rocks
Early breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the Azau clearing.
You will take the cable car up to the Gara-Bashi station again and from there you will go to the Pastukhov rocks, at the same time honing your movement skills on ice and snow areas.
At an altitude of 4,700 meters, the sparkling peaks of the Main Caucasian Ridge leave incredible memories.
After lunch on the mountain (lunch box), you will go back down to the bottom.
The entire output will take about 5-6 hours.
In the evening, we will hold a final briefing and discuss all the nuances of the upcoming ascent.

Day 5 - Preparing for the ascent
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the Azau clearing.
It's time to move to the mountain.
Although according to the plan, this day is intended for rest, you will still spend it richly.
You will get acquainted with additional guides who will ensure your safety during the ascent to the top.
Lunch at the shelter, time to relax.
Do not forget about the early lights out, because you need to gain strength for tomorrow's breakthrough to the goal.
If the weather forecast is favorable and the forecast worsens in the following days, if the group is prepared, the guide may suggest using this day as an attempt to climb.

Day 6 - Making an ascent to the summit of Elbrus Zapadnaya (5642 m above sea level)
Early ascent at 02:00, quick packing and start to the highest peak in Europe!
You will take lunchboxes and thermoses with hot tea with you.
It will take you about 9 hours to get up and around noon you will be able to admire the breathtaking scenery.
In good weather, even the Black Sea can be seen from the top of Elbrus.
Attention! Regardless of the result, from 13:00, the movement of all group members is carried out only downwards.
The total time for climbing is about 12 hours.
For an additional fee, it is possible to climb on a snowmobile to a height of up to 5000 meters.
In this case, the output is shifted 2-3 hours later.
The cost is from 12,000 rubles/person.
After returning, you will be able to relax and share your emotions.

Day 7 - Free (reserve) day
After a delicious breakfast, you will go down to the foot of Elbrus, and you will have a whole day to relax and enjoy nature.
This is a great chance to relax and recuperate after climbing!
Do not miss the opportunity to complement your trip with an excursion to the Chegem waterfalls or to the picturesque Adyr-Su gorge.
Here you can enjoy breathtaking views, take stunning photos and experience the atmosphere of the real Caucasus.
Horseback riding and fishing are available for outdoor enthusiasts — an ideal way to enjoy the tranquility of nature.
And in the evening you will have a gala dinner with the presentation of certificates — symbols of your efforts and achievements.
This is a moment worth celebrating in a circle of like-minded people who have received the same unforgettable emotions and impressions.
If the previous day did not give you good weather, the guide will decide to use a reserve day for climbing.

The tour includes accommodation in a 3* hotel in the Cheget meadow (5 nights) and in a shelter on the mountain (2 nights).

The possible accommodation options are listed below. It can be replaced with similar ones.

"Lagoon"

The Laguna Hotel is located in a pine forest, at the turn to the Cheget meadow. The rooms are modern and well equipped. Each room has a TV, a set of necessary utensils, a telephone, and a balcony. In the bathroom: shower, hairdryer, set of branded toiletries.

Infrastructure: restaurant, bar, sauna, billiards, wi-fi, secure Parking, ski storage. The hotel has a cafe with a light and friendly atmosphere. The menu offers dishes of national and European cuisine. Guests can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee in the hotel's lobby bar. Breakfast buffet from 7.00 to 10.00 (with a small load – a set menu)

The Snow Leopard Hotel is located in a mountainous region and offers accommodation in spacious rooms (172 rooms). Guests can easily reach Mount Cheget and the Cheget Chairlift. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

The new building of the Snow Leopard Hotel was put into operation at the end of 2017. The new building houses standard TWIN and DBL rooms, as well as Suites. The interior of the standard rooms is concise and simple, the design suggests calm colors and shades. The room has comfortable single beds for a comfortable stay, a desk for work, a spacious wardrobe, a plasma TV. The bathroom is equipped with all necessary bath accessories, towels and a hair dryer. The Snow Leopard Hotel has a massage room and a billiard table. There are excellent opportunities for skiing and hiking in the surrounding area.
