Elbrus, the highest peak of the Caucasus, Russia and Europe, the height of the Western peak is 5642 meters, the Eastern peak is 5621 meters, when climbing from the North, they most often climb to the Eastern peak – this is the route of the first ascenders to Elbrus.

Climbing Elbrus from the North is technically simple and suitable even for beginners, people coming to climb Elbrus for the first time. The tour differs in that long distances must be traveled independently, there is no cable car and other equipment.

For climbing, we issue certificates and license plates established by the FAR.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting. Emmanuel's Clearing
We meet in Mineralnye Vody at the airport and at the railway station, we drive an SUV through Kislovodsk.
We are moving to the Gila-Su tract.
The base camp is located in Emmanuel's glade, 2600 meters high.
After the organization of everyday life, you can take a walk, collect water from narzan springs, make friends with gophers.
Both peaks of Elbrus are clearly visible from the clearing.

Day 2 - Traverse of the peaks of Sirh and Corona
A simple ascent to the top of Sirh 3100 meters, then moving along the ridge we climb to the top of the Crown.
The climbing route to Elbrus is clearly visible.
The ascent takes place first along a dirt road, then along a grassy and scree slope.
The ascent is about 3 hours, the descent is 1-1.5 hours.
We register the group with the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Day 3 - Dropping off equipment at the assault camp
On this day, equipment will be dropped into the camp at 3750, this is necessary for smooth acclimatization, as well as in order to lift some of the equipment to the top.
The trail first goes along the canyon of the river, then we go out to the German airfield and the Moon Glade.
We descend through the amazing valley of Stone Mushrooms, a place of fantastic energy.
The first ascent to 3750 takes about 5 hours, it takes 2-3 hours to descend.

Day 4 - Sights of the Elbrus region
Huge, powerful waterfalls, Kalinov Bridge, Dragon's Teeth are must—visit places.
The loads are low, we go down to Jilly-su, swim in the springs.
If desired, you can have lunch at the cafe.

Day 5 - Ascent to the assault camp at 3,750 meters, for climbing Elbrus from the North
We go out to the upper camp at an altitude of 3750 meters for the purpose of spending the night and further acclimatization.
Now we have to spend the night among the rocks and snow, next to the glacier.
In front of us is a huge icy slope of Elbrus.
The second ascent to the assault camp takes about 4 hours.

Day 6 - Acclimatization output
We will climb up the glacier to the Lenz rocks at an altitude of 4600-4800 m.
We learn to walk in cats on an ice-snow slope, the uniform movement of a group in a bunch, self-retention using an ice axe.
Ascent 4-5 hours, descent 3 hours.
Stunning views of the glaciers of Elbrus lying below, foothills and green meadows all the way to Kislovodsk — for such moments we come to the mountains!

Day 7 - Day of rest
A day of rest before the summit assault.
Classes are possible on the glacier near the camp, or a walk down.
We are collecting backpacks and climbing equipment.
We go to bed early.
Day 8 - Climbing to the top of Elbrus Vostochnaya 5621 meters
Exit to the summit at midnight.
Far to the north, the lights of the CMS cities are burning, together with other groups we will see the sun rising above the horizon, and overcoming fatigue and insecurity, stand on the edge of the crater of the highest volcano in Europe.
The ascent time is 8-10 hours, the descent is 3-4 hours.

Day 9 - A reserve day. Departure
A reserve day is necessary in order for the ascent to take place in good weather.
Guides receive fairly accurate forecasts on specialized weather sites and from emergency personnel.
