Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Departure to the Elbrus region
We will meet you at the airport or at the railway station in Mineralnye Vody, from where your journey to the top will begin.
Important! A group transfer from the railway station departs at 13:00, from the airport at 14:00.
Choose flights based on this, setting the time for baggage collection and possible delays.
After just 3.5 hours on the way, you will already be breathing the head-spinning pine air and admiring the majestic Caucasus Mountains.
Lunch (not included in the price).
After checking into the hostel, you will meet a guide – your guide to the top of Mount Elbrus.
He will tell you about all the nuances of the upcoming ascent and check the equipment you have.
If something is missing, you can go to the rental the next day and pick up the missing equipment.
We will spend our free time on a short walk around the neighborhood together.

Day 2 - Acclimatization exit to Cheget
Breakfast at the hostel.
The first acclimatization in preparation for the ascent is the ascent of Mount Cheget.
The mountain is deservedly considered the pearl of the region and the best viewing point on Elbrus and the Seven Glacier, it deservedly won the hearts of hiking enthusiasts.
A small picnic on the mountain (lunch box) with stunning views will add pleasant impressions.
We go back down on the cable car to save our legs and save energy.
Free time to relax.

Day 3 - Trekking to the waterfall Maiden Braids
Breakfast at the hostel.
We continue to acclimatize.
Today you will find theoretical information on how to walk and breathe properly in the mountains.
And then you will immediately work it out in practice in a small hike to the Maiden Braids waterfall.
The waterfall is located on the southern slopes of Terskol Peak at an altitude of 2,800 m.
You will carry only a small backpack with a thermos flask, a snack (lunch box) and personal belongings.
After the waterfall, the trail will lead us further to the observatory.
The main activity of the observatory is the study of the physical properties of stellar bodies, but we will go up there for magnificent panoramic views and the majestic silence of the mountains.
And in the evening we will return to the hostel for a rest.

Day 4 - Check-in at the mountain Shelter
Breakfast at the hostel.
Room release.
It's time to move to the mountain.
Despite the comfort of the hotel at the foot, an important stage of acclimatization and preparation of the body for conditions of oxygen deficiency and low pressure will be the time spent at altitude.
We are waiting for a cable car ride to the Gara Bashi station (3847m) and accommodation in a mountain shelter, which will become your home for the next few days.
Lunch (lunch box).
In your free time, you will walk up the snowy slope and practice the technique of walking in cats.

Day 5 - Acclimatization exit up to a height of 4800 m
Breakfast at the shelter on the mountain.
Today you will check for yourself what height is.
You will find an acclimatization exit at 4800 m and you will be able to feel how your body reacts to changing conditions and give it the opportunity to adapt smoothly.
Lunch (lunch box), during which, in good weather, you can admire the peaks of the Main Caucasian Ridge, and only 642 m vertically will remain to the cherished peak.
Time to rest.

Day 6 - Day of rest
Breakfast at the shelter on the mountain.
A day of rest is extremely important before climbing.
Despite the relaxed schedule, you can still expect snow and ice classes, small walks to maintain body tone.
Lunch and dinner at the shelter.
Early lights-out will be announced at five in the evening in order to get enough sleep before midnight.

Day 7 - Climbing Elbrus
Day X has arrived, which we have been working towards all last week and the months of preparation before it.
We wake up at midnight, we will have 1.5 hours to pack and eat.
We put on all the equipment (cats, harnesses, headlamps) and go out to climb.
We walk very slowly so as not to lose our breath and save energy.
The ascent usually takes 8-12 hours, the descent takes another 3-4 hours. For a snack, you will take a lunchbox and a thermos of hot tea with you.
Regardless of the result, from 13:00, the movement of all group members is carried out only downwards.
For an additional fee, it is possible to climb on a snowmobile to a height of up to 5000 meters.
In this case, the output is shifted 2-3 hours later.
The cost is from 12,000 rubles/person.
After returning to the shelter, rest.

If the day did not give you good weather, the guide will decide to use a reserve day.
Day 8 - Descent to the Azau clearing. Return to Mineral Waters

Vacating the place, eviction from the shelter.
We take a cable car down to the Azau clearing.
A group transfer to Mineralnye Vody departs at 11:00-12:00.
The tour is over.
If the reserve days are not used, the tour will end 1 or 2 days earlier.
Day 9 - Reserve day
A reserve day in case of bad weather.

The tour provides accommodation for 3 nights in a hostel in Terskol – (4-6 people each, facilities on the floor) and 3-5 nights in a mountain shelter (6-8 people each).

The possible accommodation options are listed below. It can be replaced with similar ones.

The Heart of Elbrus Shelter is located at an altitude of 3,800 meters above sea level, just below the Gara-Bashi station. The interior of the shelter is designed in a modern style. On the ground floor there is a modern cafe and a small bar.

Equipment can be left in the spacious, spacious lobby. The second floor is a recreation area with 96 beds. Each room is equipped with four bunk beds.

Two modern heating boilers are used to maintain a warm microclimate.
