Thousands of tourists from all over the world rush to Palekh to see with their own eyes the masterpieces of miniature painting, which arose on the basis of the great art of icon painting. 

The Palekh icon painters painted the temples of the Novodevichy Monastery and the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, and the caskets created by the masters won the highest awards of art exhibitions around the world. 

You will see a unique collection of ancient icons and an Old Believer cross of the XVII century, which even visited the Vatican, in the Icon Museum.

The main temple of Palekh —Holy Cross. As noted by art historians, this is the last painting in the history of art, created in the traditions of ancient Russian fresco painting. 

You will visit the main shrine of Palekh and see the carved royal gates, a unique monument of decorative temple art of the XVI century.

Visit to the art workshop. A master class in painting. Each guest will make himself a New Year's gift. 

Transfer to the village of Ponkino. 

A rustic feast made from organic village products.

Rustic lunch from the oven – a unique taste of Slavic cuisine: Russian green cabbage soup, potatoes with greens, homemade lard, pickles, pastries and a rustic drink, cooked with soul.

Have you been drinking tea from a charcoal samovar for a long time? We will treat you to floral tea and homemade lamb. 

Remembering folk traditions, you will wear Russian cotton sundresses and men's shirts and be transported into the festive flavor of the holiday. 

We will sing drinking songs to the sonorous Shuisky accordion. Let's learn the village quadrille. Let's recall folk folklore — ditties, now not deservedly forgotten.

Transfer to Shuya. Sightseeing walking tour of Shuya — an ancient cozy Russian city above the river Teza, famous since the beginning of the XVI century. 

Shuya is famous as the birthplace of the "elected tsar" Vasily Shuisky, merchant dynasties, holy icons. 

You will admire the beautifully preserved merchant buildings, stroll through the historical center of Shuya and visit the pearl of Shuya attractions — the grandiose Resurrection Cathedral! 

In the cathedral itself there is a miraculous Shuisky icon of the Smolensk Mother of God, who saved the city from a pestilence in the XVII century.

The festive city is blooming with thousands of lights. The atmosphere of ancient New Year celebrations reigns here: with bright illumination, roller coaster rides and a traditional fair.

Lunch with Shuya tincture.

Visit the Shuiskaya Vodka company store, where you can buy your favorite berry tincture.

A visit to the Gagarin family's private cheese factory "Behind the glass". 

Here they will tell you about the production of cheese, show you through the glass how it works. Tasting of cheese factory products with tea, bagels and homemade jam in the tasting room. 

The tasting is accompanied by a story about each cheese variety, the history of cheese making, and interesting facts about cheese. Here you can buy the products of local farmers: Shuisky berries, marbled catfish.

There were monasteries and nunneries in the vicinity of the city, which contributed to the development of various "arts", for example, embroidery and icon painting. 

At the end of our program, we will invite you to an interesting excursion: "From monastic embroidery to the present day with the display of the collection "Russian linen", made at the Shuisky stitch factory. 

This is an enterprise of folk arts and crafts, founded in 1934. The range of products includes more than two hundred items. 

These are women's dresses, blouses, jackets, skirts, trousers, vests, sundresses, men's shirts, products for interior decoration — tablecloths, napkins, paths, towels.

All products of the company are decorated with traditional embroidery, which is distinguished by fine taste and high craftsmanship. You will also have the opportunity to purchase the products of this company.

Transfer to Shuya railway station.

An introductory tour of the station. Shuya Station is a cultural heritage site. Major repairs have restored its historical appearance.
