The village of Yantarny got its name for a reason: according to geologists, the largest amber deposit in the world is located here.

And this is the only place in Russia where industrial extraction of sunstone is carried out. Amber is a business card of the Kaliningrad region.

We will tell you all about amber. The program includes a visit to the enterprise, where you will be told about the extraction, processing of amber and the manufacture of jewelry with amber. You will also learn about the beneficial, healing properties of this stone. Amber is used in pharmaceuticals and in the production of medicinal amber cosmetics. 

In your free time, you can visit the quarry of the Kaliningrad Amber Combine, where amber mining is carried out in an open way, and where the path of stone from the earth to man begins. 

A visit to the quarry is offered on request, payment for tickets at the company's ticket office independently from 1300 rubles.

As part of the tour, there is time for purchases of amber products and souvenirs, because here in Yantarny is the main specialization of activity: stone mining and the manufacture of everything from amber!

We will also take a walk around Yantarny and get acquainted with its history. Previously, Amber was called Palmniken. The decoration of the place is the ancient Lutheran church of 1892 and the building of the Schloss Hotel in 1881, built as the home of the owner of the mining enterprise Moritz Becker, as well as an arboretum with century-old trees — a place where you can hide from the summer heat.

Transfer to Svetlogorsk.

Next, we will get acquainted with the sights of Svetlogorsk-Raushen. You will be fascinated by the ancient architecture of the resort of the late XIX- early XX centuries: private villas, boarding houses, hotels. 

Organ hall, larch park, water tower, Kurhaus, variety theater "Amber Hall". 

The symbols of Svetlogorsk are the beautiful works of the German sculptor G. Brachert — "Water Carrier" and "Nymph". You will be led to the sea by terraced slopes, where a promenade was built near the water for the convenience of vacationers.

Fort No. 5 "King Frederick William III" and Fort No. 1 "Stein", Bunker Museum.

Throughout its centuries-old history, Konigsberg was a fortress city and remained impregnable until April 1945. The city gates, towers, bastions and forts preserved in Kaliningrad are examples of the brilliant embodiment of the most modern military engineering thought in Europe of the past years. 

An exciting tour awaits you with a drive along the defensive fortifications of the inner defensive ring of the city: the defensive rampart, the moat, the Don Tower, the bastions, the Kronprinz defensive barracks and, of course, the gates of the city.

You will also visit the outer line of defense of Konigsberg and visit two forts of the city of Kaliningrad. 

Visit to Fort No. 1 "Stein". This well-preserved fort will amaze you with the power of its walls and the ingenuity of such fortresses.       

Visit to Fort No. 5 "King Frederick William III". Fort No. 5 at the end of World War II became the site of fierce battles between the Soviet Red Army and the German Hitlerite troops, and also witnessed the unparalleled courage of our Soviet soldiers during the storming of Konigsberg in April 1945. Our tour will end in the very center of the city at the bunker, where the underground headquarters of the Konigsberg garrison was located at the end of the war. 

Here an agreement was reached on the surrender of the German troops. The situation of the headquarters was preserved in the bunker at the time of the surrender of the German garrison on April 9, 1945. The atmosphere and circumstances of this most important event in the annals of our victory have been recreated.

Visiting the bunker on your own is optional. Tickets are purchased in the bunker at the museum's ticket office.

Route: NP Curonian spit, Zelenogradsk.

The Curonian Spit is a unique corner of nature, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. A narrow strip of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. 

A trip to the spit is for everyone who is tired of the noise of dusty cities and dreams of breathing in the fresh sea air filled with phytoncides of the coniferous forest. 

The program of the trip certainly includes the highest dune — the height of Efa; access to the sea and a walk through the forest. Those who wish can buy hot smoked fish on the spit, which is caught and smoked here according to the old recipe. 

Zelenogradsk. You will get acquainted with the oldest and most famous resort in East Prussia — Krantz (now the city of Zelenogradsk). 

During a walking tour of Zelenograd, you will see the unique ancient architecture of Krantz: boarding houses, hotels and private villas at the turn of the late XIX-XX centuries; St. Adalbert Lutheran Church, Queen Louise Square and the house where she stayed in 1807, and much more.

On a guided tour in the city of Baltiysk, the previously closed base of the Baltic Fleet, you will learn the history of the formation of the fleet since its foundation by Peter I, to whom a monument was erected on the city pier in 1998. 

You will see the lighthouse of the famous architect Schinkel, the reformatory church, which became an Orthodox church, and the Swedish fortress, which was built in the middle of the XVII century and which is still an active military facility. You will see the strait — the gateway to the Kaliningrad commercial and military ports, warships and civilian vessels moored at the city's waterfront.

You will see the largest equestrian monument in our country to Empress Elizabeth Petrovna (2004). The pedestal of the monument is decorated in the form of a fort, from the observation deck of which you will see an extensive panorama overlooking the Baltic Spit, the sea Strait and ships standing in the roadstead. 

Walking along the pier and the beach of the Baltic Sea, you will feel a real sea breeze.

In your free time, you can visit the Swedish Fortress on your own (visiting is only for citizens of the Russian Federation, you must have a passport of the Russian Federation) or the Museum of the Baltic Fleet. 

After the end of the tour, you can stay in Baltiysk on the beach and then return to Kaliningrad by bus. It is necessary to warn your guide and driver about this desire.

During the First World War, the troops of the 1st Russian Imperial Army were stationed in the city. And, of course, a monument to General I.D. Chernyakhovsky, commander of the 3rd Belorussian Front, whose name the city proudly bears. The Normandy-Niemen squadron with French pilots was based in the city at the end of World War II.
