Itinerary

Day 1 - Kostroma, Ipatievsky Monastery, Ivan Susanin, Kostroma Kremlin
Meeting at Kostroma railway station.
Transfer to the first location of our trip — Ipatievsky Monastery, where you will be told the story of the monastery's creation and why it is called the cradle of the House of Romanov.
After the tour, we will have lunch at a restaurant in Kostroma, where you can taste the famous Kostroma green cabbage soup.
Further, during a sightseeing tour of the city center, we will find out why Kostroma has a radial-semicircular layout.
Let's take beautiful photos against the background of the Fire Tower, the estate of S.S. Borshchov, take a walk around Susaninsky Square and listen to the story of Ivan Susanin's feat.
Let's take a walk around:
Shopping malls, where you can taste Kostroma chebureks, which have not changed their recipe for more than 40 years, and buy souvenirs.;
on the molochnaya hill, let's look at the landing stage, which is now a restaurant, and used to be the filming location of the famous "Cruel Romance" shot by the great Eldar Ryazanov;
along the Volga River embankment, sung by many performers of our country.
We will get to the Ostrovsky gazebo and move towards the Kostroma Kremlin, where the Fedorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God is currently located, where you can climb the Kremlin bell tower (optional) for an additional fee.

Day 2 - Galich — Parfenievsky district — Maraly — Kologriv
Breakfast.
Check out of the hotel with your belongings.
We are starting to move deeper into the Kostroma region.
In two hours we will reach the ancient county town and outpost of Northeastern Russia in the development of the North and Vyatka land - Galich, which is located on a lake inhabited by the famous Galich pike, in honor of which the Yemelina Pike festival is held annually, where ukhovars from all over the country compete.
On the sightseeing tour, the guide will tell you about the formation of the city, its most striking sights.
Lunch at a cafe in the city.
After lunch, we will go to the maral breeding complex, where you will see marals at close range, as well as listen to a fascinating story about the benefits of antlers.
Next, we will have a long (3.5 hours) drive to Kologriv, along the way we will stop to drink coffee and stretch a little on the way.
In the evening, check into a guest house in Kologriv.

Day 3 - Kologriv, a journey into the work of E.Chestnyakov, gastronomic dinner
A hearty farmer's breakfast.
Sightseeing tour of the city, where you will learn the history of the city, architectural monuments, famous residents of Kologriv, visit the active Assumption Cathedral.
Then proceed to the Local History Museum named after G. A. Ladyzhensky, where you can see:
expositions of the history and nature of the local region;
art collections;
Western European and Russian paintings of the XVI —XX centuries;
the work of E.V.Chestnyakov; the "king of watercolor", the founder of the Kologrivsky museum, G.A.Ladyzhensky;
collections of antiquities and ethnography.
Lunch.
A trip to the right-bank part of the Kologrivsky district, to protected areas.
On the way, the guide will tell you about the sights of the Kologrivsky district, the Kologrivsky Forest Nature Reserve, the Kologrivskaya Floodplain goose reserve and other places.
There will be stops along the way:
in "Kologrivskaya Lapland";
in the village of Ekimtsevo, where the educational and park complex of the F.V.Chizhov College, one of the best educational institutions of the Russian Empire, is located;
The "Green Temple", a unique prayer place in the forest, founded by E. Chestnyakov;
the village of Shablovo, the birthplace of the unique peasant artist, poet and thinker Yefim Chestnyakov;
Burdovo village (optional) is an ancient settlement.
In the evening, you will have a gastronomic dinner "Goose of the World".
The main event of the day is dinner in the barn at the farm. Each dish contains the history of one country, one culinary tradition, and the main character is a goose.

Day 4 - Return to Kostroma
Breakfast.
Departure from the guest house.
We're going back to Kostroma.
On the way, we will have lunch and stop at the Makaryevo-Unzhensky monastery, which consists of 5 churches: Trinity, Annunciation, Nikolsky, Makarievsky and Assumption.
Makarievsky Church is the only one that has been sufficiently restored for regular worship.
The relics of St. Macarius also rest in it. Legend has it that the life of Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov was preserved by the patronage of Makarii.
18:00 Return to Kostroma railway station.
The time of return is approximate, depending on the condition of the road and traffic.
