Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Meeting. Ipatievsky Monastery, Kostroma sightseeing tour

    Meeting at Kostroma railway station.

    Transfer to the first location of our trip – Ipatievsky Monastery, where you will be told the story of the monastery's creation and why it is called the cradle of the House of Romanov.

    After the tour, we will have lunch at a restaurant in Kostroma, where you can taste the famous Kostroma green cabbage soup.

    Next, on a sightseeing tour of the city center, we will find out why Kostroma has a radial-semicircular layout.

    We will take beautiful photos against the background of the fire tower, the estate of S.S. Borshchov, take a walk around Susaninsky Square and listen to the story of Ivan Susanin's feat, as well as stroll through the Shopping Malls, where you can buy souvenirs and taste Kostroma chebureks, which have not changed their recipe for more than 40 years.

    We will take a short walk along the Volga River embankment, and then we will reach the Ostrovsky gazebo and move towards the Kostroma Kremlin, where the Fedorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God is currently located.

    For an additional fee, you can climb the Kremlin bell tower.

    Next, we will go on an excursion to the house of the mayor G.N. Botnikov.
