The time difference with Moscow is 6 hours. To adapt to the local time, we recommend arriving in Yakutsk the day before the tour.
06:00 Meeting at the site next to the Azimut Hotel.
Introduction, briefing and the beginning of the trip. Today you will find a scenic route, including two ferry crossings over the majestic Lena and Aldan rivers.
After 100 km of the journey, we will stop for lunch at a roadside cafe in Tengyulu village.
Tengyulu is located on the Alas, a unique form of relief that arose as a result of thermokarst processes, when thawing of underground ice leads to soil shrinkage, suffusion and karst formation.
A characteristic feature of Alas is the lowland, often occupied by a swampy lake, and the surrounding meadow-steppe slopes.
Throughout the route, you will be able to admire numerous sculptural compositions dedicated to the heroes of the Yakut epic and folk tales.
We will stop at the monumental sculpture of the hero Nyurgun Bootur, one of the key characters of the Olonkho epic.
The village of Khandyga is the administrative center of the Tomponsky district, an important industrial hub. Located on the banks of the Aldan River, Khandyga was the starting point for the development of the territories included in the Dalstroy system.
The village was founded in 1938 as a base for the construction of the Kolyma highway leading to Magadan.
During the Second World War, an airfield operated here, receiving aircraft supplied from the United States under Lend-Lease as part of the Alaska-Siberian Air Route for the needs of the Eastern Front.
Upon arrival in Khandyga, a visit to the local museum of local lore is planned, the exposition of which highlights in detail the history of Dalstroy and its impact on the region.
Overnight accommodation is provided in the guest house of the village.
The length of today's car route is 432 km.
