Day 1 - The road to Staraya Russa. Procedures

07:30 Departure from Moskovskaya metro station, Demonstration passage.
Moving along the M-11 expressway.
Transfer to Korostyn.
Excursion to the Travel Palace.
The palace was built according to the project of V.P. Stasov.
The semi–stone building, the main decoration of which is a loggia with fluted wooden columns of the Doric order, is an example of classical style.
The facade faces Lake Ilmen.
Currently, in the halls of the museum there is an exposition dedicated to the history of the area, the conclusion of a peace treaty between Veliky Novgorod and Moscow and an exposition dedicated to a clay toy of the Novgorod region.
Moving to Staraya Russa.

The program includes a theatrical tour of the F.M. Dostoevsky House Museum and a tea ceremony.
Tasting of tea and goodies, which were prepared according to ancient recipes. It was such sweets that Fyodor Mikhailovich bought for the household in local shops.

Staraya Russa is a cozy, provincial town, where the atmosphere of the city of the XIX century is felt.
On the tour you will see the water tower and Cathedral Square, residential buildings, administrative buildings, the promenade and the Ginger cat.

Day 4 - Excursion to the museum of the novel "The Brothers Karamazov". Completion of the tour

The resort buildings are surrounded by a beautiful park with picturesque lakes, and in the center is the Muravyevsky Fountain, which was opened in 1854.
There are nine mineral springs (chloride-calcium-sodium) on the territory of the resort.
Two of which are with weak mineralization.
They are united in a drinking gallery.
The remaining sources with high mineralization form three mineral lakes and the overflow of the Voye stream, which does not freeze all year round. (entrance ticket to the resort is paid additionally).
Excursion to the museum of the novel “The Brothers Karamazov".
The museum's exposition is dedicated to the novel by F. M. Dostoevsky “The Brothers Karamazov”, which was written in Staraya Russa.
In the museum you will get acquainted with the biography of the writer, the social life of the XIX century and the plot of the work.

Departure from Staraya Russa to St. Petersburg via Veliky Novgorod on the M11 expressway.
The estimated time of arrival in St. Petersburg is 21:00.
You can travel to Moscow from Veliky Novgorod by train 042H at 21:35 (transfer to Veliky Novgorod railway station is provided) or to Moscow from St. Petersburg, Moskovsky Railway Station by trains departing after 22:00.

A wonderful tour with a rich and engaging itinerary. Our guide, Svetlana, was very responsible and did an excellent job, explaining everything in detail. I was pleased with both the hotels and the food. Adding extra lunches was a great decision; it made everything more convenient, and I especially enjoyed the Pomor-style lunch at the Pomor restaurant. The transportation was also comfortable and reliable.
