We will go to a picturesque village on the steep bank of the Oka: it was here on October 3, 1895. At the end of the 19th century, Sergei Yesenin was born, his childhood and youth were spent here. 

We will visit the memorial estate of S. A. Yesenin's parents, cross the threshold of the "golden log hut"; we will see the farmyard, the backyard, a small vegetable garden and a garden. 

We will learn many interesting facts about the poet's life and work in the House of the priest I. Ya. Smirnov and in the Zemstvo school: 

• about the early years of S. A. Yesenin and his formation as a poet; 
• the history of the emergence of zemstvo schools in the Ryazan province at the turn of the XIX–XX centuries and the opening of a school in the village of Konstantinovo;
• let's hear a story about Sergei Yesenin's school life; 
• let's get acquainted with the life of a priest and his family. 

At the estate of Lidia Ivanovna Kashina, we will get acquainted with the family history of the last Konstantinovskaya landowner. Sergei Yesenin met Lydia Kashina in the summer of 1916 and visited her house more than once.

Let's recall the famous poem "Anna Snegina", because the prototype of the main character was the mistress of the estate. We will visit a unique exhibition in the Carriage Yard and the museum of the poem "Anna Snegina". 

The Literary Museum presents the stages of Sergei Yesenin's formation as a poet, his difficult life and creative path from birth in 1895 to his mysterious death in 1925.

In Konstantinov, we will visit the white stone church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and go out to the picturesque shore of the Oka. 

You will be able to see the same Russian expanses that Yesenin saw and that inspired him so much.

From Konstantinov, we will follow the route of Sergei Yesenin to the Divovo railway station. 

It was in this way that Yesenin left his native home. 

We will make a stop in the village of Fedyakino — this is the birthplace of the Yesenin family. 

The poet's namesakes still live here. 

In 1881, a zemstvo primary school was opened in the village. The new two-storey red brick building was built in 1915, and it still exists today. Here, in 1918, Yesenin read his poems to fellow countrymen during an amateur concert.

Next, our way lies to the Divovo railway station — this is a memorable historical place associated with the life of S. A. Yesenin. 

Back in 1912, 17-year-old Yesenin boarded a train and went to Moscow. Throughout his life, Sergei Alexandrovich came to his native village of Konstantinovo many times, and invariably stayed here at Divovo station. She was for him a part of the road that led him to his native village, to his native places, to the warmth of his native hearth. On the 110th anniversary of S. A. Yesenin's birth, a monument to the poet was erected at Divovo station.

We will make a stop in the village of Divovo.

Once upon a time, Major General Nikolai Andrianovich Divova, a participant in the Battle of Borodino, built the famous Oryol trotters stud farm on his estate. Now only the minaret has been preserved from the manor house — one of the most amazing sights of the Ryazan region. 

And since 1960, the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Horse Breeding has been located on the site of the stud farm — the world's only scientific center for horse breeding. But the old Divovsky stables still keep the memory of the magnificent horses that were bred here once.

Transfer to Solotcha.

20 km from Ryazan there is a resort village, the history of which began in the 14th century. 

Solotcha is the gateway to Meschera.

The ancient history, rich cultural traditions, and unique nature of the Ryazan Meschera attracted the attention of Russian writers.

Sergei Yesenin repeatedly visited the village of Solotcha and the territory of the modern Solotchinsky convent in 1912-1913, making his way along the narrow-gauge railway. 

A. I. Kuprin often visited the Ryazan province, his impressions of the Meshchersk region were reflected in the stories "Small Fry", "Swamp", "Jumping Dragonfly". 

The work of K. G. Paustovsky is inextricably linked with Meschera — Solotcha was his favorite place of work and recreation for 20 years, A.P. Gaidar and R. I. Fraerman also often visited and worked here. 

A.I. Solzhenitsyn was in love with Solotchinsky magical places, who for 10 years, with various interruptions, wrote his most significant works here: "In the First Circle", "Cancer Corps", several chapters of the GULAG Archipelago.

The village of Solotcha grew up around the male Solotcha Nativity of the Virgin Monastery, founded in 1390 by the Ryazan Grand Duke Oleg Ivanovich — according to legend, at the meeting place of the prince and his wife with two hermits. The prince and the princess are buried in this monastery. 

The gate Church of John the Baptist in 1695 and the Svyatodukhovskaya Church with a refectory (1688-1689) in the Naryshkin Baroque style were presumably built according to the design of architect Yakov Bukhvostov. Stepan Polubes, known for his work at the New Jerusalem Monastery, worked on the creation of the tiled decorations of the gate church. 

A tour of the I. P. Pozhalostin House Museum.

There are many old wooden houses in Solotch with carved porches and stained glass windows. 

On one of the streets there is a house that belonged to the famous artist-engraver academician I. P. Zhalostin at the end of the XIX century. 

V. V. Veresaev, K. G. Paustovsky, A. P. Gaidar, A. A. Fadeev, K. M. Simonov, V. S. Grossman, F. I. Panferov, A. I. Solzhenitsyn, V. T. Shalamov visited this house at various times.

Moving (54 km) to the town of Spas Klepiki, the second spiritual homeland of S. Yesenin. 

On the way, we will make a stop in the village of Laskovo, the birthplace of the legendary Fevronia. It was from here that Prince Peter of Murom took her to his city to get married there. We will see the monument to Peter and Fevronia, opened in 2019.

In the village of Spas Klepiki, we will visit a school in which S. Yesenin studied in 1909-1912. 

The school is now a branch of the Yesenin State Museum-Reserve. The exhibition tells about the education system in pre-revolutionary Russia. It is here that Yesenin shows his poetic talent and enters the literary path with the light hand of the literature teacher E. M. Khitrov.

Transfer to Lunkino village (9 km). 

Excursion to the Meshchersky Museum of Wooden Architecture named after V. P. Groshev, one of the TOP 15 most interesting private museums in Russia.

The museum is located in a spacious clearing near the small village of Lunkino, lost among the swampy forests and lakes of Meschera, so wonderfully sung by Sergei Yesenin and Konstantin Paustovsky. 

The three museum buildings include 15 halls, where there are 3,500 amazing and fabulous exhibits. 

The special pride of the museum is the magnificent works created by craftsmen not only from different regions of Russia, but also Japan, Spain, Thailand and other countries. 

Return to Ryazan.

Walking tour "Yeseninskaya Ryazan".

We will walk along the Ryazan Arbat — Pochtovaya Street and Sobornaya Street, rich in ancient buildings.

On Sobornaya Street in the summer of 1912 Yesenin visited the newspaper's editorial office in the hope of publishing his first poetry collection. 

The Daryaly electrotheater was located on Pochtovaya Street — Yesenin loved "new art" and visited here; on Lenin Street, in the former building of the Ryazan City Council, he negotiated the release of fellow countrymen arrested for expropriation of food; in the district presence in May 1915, he was called up for military service during the First World War. 

Memorial plaques are now installed on all these buildings.

Visit to the Museum of A. S. Golubkina.

The house Museum of A.S. Golubkina, an outstanding Russian sculptor of the late XIX — early XX century, was opened in 1974. The museum exposition is located in the house that belonged to the Golubkin family, where A.S. Golubkina was born, lived and worked for many years, and died in 1927.

The exhibition includes personal belongings, copies of photographs and documents telling about the sculptor's life and creative path.

The museum's collection consists of authentic photographs, letters, Golubkina's works, including the vase "Fog" and "Portrait of Emperor Alexander II". Copies of the sculptor's works in the museum give an idea of Golubkina's creative activity.

Visit to the Museum-estate of F. M. Dostoevsky "Darovoe".

The great Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky lived in the Darovoye estate as a child. He loved this place and often remembered it in adulthood.

It was here that he saw forests and fields, learned how peasants live and work. However, along with the bright childhood memories, he also brought pain from this estate — in a sense, this place became fatal for the Dostoevsky family.

After the death of his parents, Dostoevsky did not come to Darovoye for many years. 

It was only in 1877, when he was already in adulthood, that he visited the estate again and visited his father's grave for the first time. Childhood memories are also reflected in the writer's work, including in the novels "Crime and Punishment", "Idiot", "The Brothers Karamazov" and others.

An outbuilding has been preserved in the manor, the exposition in which tells about the stay of the Dostoevskys here. 

In addition, in Darovoye, visitors can see the monument to F. M. Dostoevsky, installed on the territory of the estate in 1993 (sculptor Yu. F. Ivanov).

Return to Ryazan.

In the evening, for those who wish, a boat trip along the Oka (during the navigation season).

This way we will be able to look at the city as if from the outside, to appreciate all the picturesqueness of its location — the city stands on the high right bank of the Oka at the confluence of the Trubezh River.

The river cruise is carried out only during navigation.

Moving to Novoselki.

Visit to the Pirogov Brothers Museum.

We will visit the house decorated with openwork carvings, where the famous opera singers the Pirogov brothers lived. Being the sons of a Ryazan carpenter, they glorified Russian opera art all over the world. Some parts of their performance have remained unsurpassed. 

In the museum we will be able to get acquainted with the extraordinary fate of this Ryazan family.

Transfer to Poshupovo.

Inspection of the St. John the Theologian Monastery, which Sergei Yesenin visited more than once. 

This is one of the oldest Russian monasteries. It is believed that the monastery was founded in the late XII or early XIII century by Greek missionary monks who brought with them the miraculous icon of the Apostle John, painted in the VI century in Byzantium by an orphan boy. This image became the main shrine of the Theological monastery. The bell tower of the monastery, built in 1901, is considered the tallest in the Ryazan region.

Nikitinsky Manor.

We will make a stop in the ancient village of Kostino. At the end of the XIX century, a magnificent manor house was built here for the Nikitinsky family.

Nikolai Yakovlevich Nikitinsky, an outstanding breeder, was named the "potato king of the Russian Empire" during his lifetime. Let's see what remains of the once luxurious manor. According to the memoirs of Natalia Nikolaevna, the breeder's daughter, S. A. Yesenin visited the estate. 

Another stop is in the village of Letovo near the church of Cosmas and Damian.  

For the first time, the wooden Kosmodemyanskaya church was mentioned in the salary books for 1676. The stone church was built in 1900-1902 at the expense of the Yaroslavl philistine Ignatius Verevkin. 

Fr. served in this church from December 1959 to June 1962. Russian Russian Orthodox clergyman John Krestyankin, one of the most revered elders of the Russian Orthodox Church in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
