We are going to meet the New Year's magic in the native place of the poet Sergei Alexandrovich Yesenin — the village of Konstantinovo! This trip will be an amazing gift for you, full of the atmosphere of a quiet Russian winter and warmth of soul.

The Yesenins' estate is located in the center of the village of Konstantinovo, opposite the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. In 1871, the poet's grandfather Nikita Osipovich Yesenin built a house here, where Sergei Alexandrovich Yesenin was born on September 21 (October 3 — new style), 1895.

Over time, the dilapidated grandfather's house was demolished, and a new, smaller one was built in its place in 1909. In 1965, the house-museum of the famous Russian poet was opened in this "golden log hut" and a whole complex of memorial buildings appeared in the village of Konstantinovo — the State Museum-Reserve of S.A. Yesenin.

A guided tour of the Literary Museum introduces visitors to the creative biography of Sergei Yesenin, and provides an opportunity to witness the events of the turning point during which the poet lived.

The exhibition will feature photographs of S.A. Yesenin from different years, his lifetime and posthumous publications, and personal belongings of the poet.

Next to the church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is the estate of the last Konstantinovskaya landowner Lidia Ivanovna Kashina.

Sergei Yesenin met the owner of the estate in the summer of 1916. At that time, he was already the author of his first poetry collection, Radunitsa.

Visiting L. Kashina S. Yesenin visited her more than once and dedicated one of his poems to her — "The Green Hairstyle".

After the revolution, the landowner's country house was used for the needs of the village, and in October 1969 a literary exhibition was opened in it. To mark the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth, in 1995, the building housed the museum of the poem "Anna Snegina", which embodied both the image of the "house with a mezzanine" and the image of its owner.

Route: Visit six expositions — the Estate of S.A. Yesenin's parents, the Zemstvo School, the Estate of L.I. Kashina (the Museum of the poem "Anna Snegina"), the Priest's House of I.Ya. Smirnov, the Literary Museum, the Carriage Yard (without the Savior-Klepikov Teacher's School and the School of Literacy).

In your free time, you can visit the church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God on your own, where the poet's parents were married and little Seryozha Yesenin was baptized.

Transfer to Poshchupovo village.

One cannot leave these blessed places without visiting the St. John the Theologian Monastery in the village of Poschupovo.

The monastery originated in the late 12th or early 13th century and was founded by Greek missionary monks who brought with them the miraculous icon of the Apostle John, painted in the 6th century in Byzantium by an orphan boy. This image became the main shrine of the Theological monastery. The village of Konstantinovo is the courtyard of the monastery, and little Seryozha Yesenin was brought here by his grandmother to serve.

We finish our festive program by returning to Ryazan, leaving indelible impressions and energizing love for the Russian word and nature.
