Autumn at the edge of the Earth: Rybachy and Sredny Peninsulas

In the morning, after breakfast, we move to the southwestern part of the Sredny Peninsula. 

15 km of the way will lead us to the valley, which was called the "Valley of Death" during the war years.

Here we will receive instructions on how to move in the mountains and a 2-hour walk to the Musta-Tunturi ridge, where the front line lay. 

Just imagine, the line of contact with the enemy was only 30 meters. 

We will walk through the Soviet and German positions and listen to the guide's stories about those events; visit the German catacomb and solve the mystery of the secret German weapons. 

This is a real open-air museum, where many military artifacts have been preserved.

In conclusion, we will go to the site with a view of Motovsky Bay and Malaya Volokovaya Bay (Kola Fjords).

After descending from the ridge, in agreement with the group, an excursion to a small museum with an old-timer of these places, Yu. A. Kobyakov, is possible (optional).

Next, we will move to the beginning of the Malaya Volokova bay with a sandy beach. 

Here we will have lunch and, in good warm weather, swim in a small beautiful lake.

After lunch, we will force the ford and drive along the western coast of the Sredny Peninsula to the Korabelny Stream, where we will climb to a beautiful waterfall. 

This is a high cascading waterfall with a bowl under it, in which, in good weather, you can even swim in a Jacuzzi and take beautiful photos.

Then we will continue our walking journey and very soon, we will enjoy the peace and quiet of a very interesting natural corner in the Russian north and a beautiful view of the bay.

After the walk, we return to the campsite.

We will have a delicious dinner and gatherings around the campfire. 

After dinner, you will have the opportunity to visit a mobile sauna, wash up and swim in the Barents Sea.

Breakfast. After breakfast, we will start along the eastern part of the Sredny Peninsula.

We will peer into the ocean, hoping to see representatives of marine fauna (whales, killer whales, seals).

Crossing the ford on the Vykat River, we will pass through the former Pummanki military airfield, from which fighters and bombers took off during the war.

We will make a stop at the "English Cliff". 

Next, we will arrive at the rocks "Two Brothers" — an ancient temple, two stone megaliths, sacred to the Sami seyds Akka and Ukka, shrouded in local legends. 

This unique natural monument consists of two 30-meter-high stone remains. 

After exploring the Seidov, we will take a walk along the stunning cliffs to a unique, fantastic place — the shore of red stones. 

This beach stretches for a couple of kilometers along the coast at Cape Zemlyanom. 

For millions of years, nature has been using two elements — water and wind — to create an alien landscape and bizarre figures similar to animals and fairy-tale characters.

A delicious lunch awaits us in this wonderful place.

After lunch, we will move to the western part of Cape Zemlyanogo, on the way enjoying the views of the Ainu Islands and the coast of Norway, which can be seen with the naked eye in clear weather.

Next, we will visit an abandoned Soviet coastal battery. 

Armed with flashlights, we will wander through the underground casemates, look into each room, see how the gunners lived. 

Let's go up to the ship's cannon and listen to the story about the legendary Ponochevny battery.

After the walk, we return to the campsite.

We will have a delicious dinner and gatherings around the campfire. 

After dinner, you will have the opportunity to visit a mobile sauna, wash up and swim in the Barents Sea.

Today is the busiest day, and we leave early. 

After breakfast, we will move to the Rybachy Peninsula.

The road will run along the western part of the Rybachy Peninsula and run along the coast of Bolshaya Volokova Bay. 

We will drive through several fords, see Cape Cow and find out why it is so called.

Then we will arrive at a long sandy strip, which is beautifully called the Kian Littoral.

Here, at low tide, the sea recedes by more than 200 meters. 

We will see the eponymous island of Kiy and play volleyball at low tide, and the bravest in good and warm weather will be able to swim or just wander in shallow water.

We will visit the pillbox during the war and find out why it was almost impregnable.

After the beach, we will stop at a pretty waterfall and drink crystal clear water.

We move to Cape German.

This is the extreme northern point of the European continental part of Russia. Then only the ocean and the North pole.

On the way to Cape German, we will have another stop at the mysterious stone. 

Another place of power. We will definitely make a wish and walk through the stone.

Upon arrival at Cape German, we will explore the kekurs (rearing razor-sharp rocks), walk to the Vaidogub Lighthouse and the Viking well.

Then we will have lunch and head to Vida Guba to inspect a local artifact - a fishing ship thrown out by an ocean storm.

After that we will move to Cape Kekursky, one of the most beautiful places on the Rybachy coast, in our opinion. Let's take a walk and look at the rocks overhanging the sea.

After enjoying the views of Kekursky, we will head east along the coast of the peninsula. 

On the right and left there are clean small lakes, where you can sometimes see white swans.

Next, we will drive through the abandoned Skorbeevsky garrison, where military life flourished during the Cold War. 

Now only large-scale buildings remind of the former power of the USSR.

After the garrison, we will visit an interesting waterfall and be sure to swim in it, jumping from a cliff into a deep 5-meter waterfall bowl.

Next, we will move to Cape Bolshoy Skorbeevsky. 

Here we will have a second lunch and visit the beautiful lagoon and the dragon rock. 

Here we will climb the cliffs, from where we will have a beautiful view of the Rybachy coast. 

After the descent, we will walk to the ancient labyrinth and walk our way through it.

After the walk, we return to the campsite.

We will have a delicious dinner and gatherings around the campfire.

After dinner, you will have the opportunity to visit a mobile sauna, wash up and swim in the Barents Sea.

You can get up later today. 

Breakfast is waiting for us after waking up. 

Then there is free time, which can be spent walking along the beach, climbing a mountain, taking pictures, reading books on the shore, etc.

After lunch, it's time to pack up for the return trip. 

We leave in the direction of the village. Titovka across the Sredny Peninsula. 

We transfer to a minibus in Titovka, eat delicious pies in a cafe, say goodbye to the team, hug and go to Murmansk.

Arrival time in Murmansk is around 22:00.
