Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Murmansk — Titovka — Sredny Peninsula (camping)

Meeting place and time of the group: at 11:00 at the 69th Parallel Hotel.

After the meeting, we go by minibus to the village of Titovka, along the way we admire the views of the northern wild tundra (100 km).

We will stop at the Valley of Glory.

This is a memorial complex on the right bank of the Zapadnaya Litsa River.

During the Great Patriotic War, some of the fiercest battles for the Arctic took place here.

Upon arrival in Titovka, we will visit a small museum dedicated to the peninsulas and wartime.

Here we will get acquainted with the history of the peninsulas and the events that took place there during the war.

After reloading our belongings into the GAZ-66 off-road vehicle, we will hit the road.

It will run through picturesque places along the Titovka River, which, winding like a ribbon, flows into the Motovsky Bay of the Barents Sea.

Let's stop at the beautiful cascading waterfalls of the Titovka River and the Yuringi River, where we can enjoy the views of raging and roaring streams of water falling down.

The next stop is "Drunken Creek", a traditional one before the pass.

A hearty lunch awaits us here.

During lunch, the guide will tell the story of this place and tell you about the reason for the cheerful name of the stream.

When climbing the pass, a small observation deck awaits us with an excellent view of the endless tundra of the Musta-Tunturi ridge.

Climbing to the top of the Musta-Tunturi pass, we will take a short walk to the Seyds.

To the mysterious sacred stones, which were worshipped by the local Sami people (Lapps).

Let's listen to a little story about the Sami and their sorcerers, the Noyds.

We will go up to the viewing platform, which offers a magnificent view of several beautiful tundra lakes.

Next, we will descend from the ridge to Motovsky Bay and soon stop at an observation deck with a picturesque view of Motovsky Bay, Kutovaya Bay, Sredny and Rybachy peninsulas.

Then we will move along the sea to our campsite.

Arriving at the campsite, we settle into tents.

We explore the surroundings of the camp and walk along the seashore.

After check-in, we will have a delicious dinner and a closer acquaintance.
