Day 1 - Departure from Moscow. Vladimir and Bogolyubovo
Gathering of the group in Moscow: VDNKH metro station, parking lot to the right of the Cosmos Hotel:

Vladimir City tour is the ancient capital of Northeastern Russia and one of the most visited cities of the Golden Ring of Russia by tourists: several amazing monuments of Russian medieval white stone architecture have been preserved here.
First of all, this applies to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Assumption Cathedral, Dmitrievsky Cathedral and the Golden Gate.
Sightseeing of the 12th century:
The Golden Gate (architecture) is a symbol of the greatness and power of Ancient Russia, they decorated the main entrance to the richest princely boyar part of the city.
Dmitrievsky Cathedral is a monument of Vladimir-Suzdal architecture of the pre–Mongol period, or the Assumption Cathedral is a masterpiece of white stone architecture, is a unique treasury of Russian church art, it preserves paintings of the XII-XIX centuries. The famous frescoes of the icon painter Andrei Rublev.
On request, for an additional fee: the museum of crystal and glass of the XVIII-XXI centuries or the exposition "Old Vladimir" in a 4-storey tower in 1912. (tells about the city of the late XIX century. – early XX century.) or the Military-historical exposition in the Golden Gate.
Departure to the village of Bogolyubovo.
Excursion to the Bogolyubovsky monastery.
On the territory of the palace-castle of Andrei Bogolyubsky (the only civil building of Ancient Russia that has survived at least partially), an excursion to one of the oldest Russian monasteries on the Vladimir land – Bogolyubovsky Monastery: the chambers of Prince Andrew, the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin (architecture).
Church of the Intercession on the Nerl (architecture) – according to weather conditions. It was located almost on the river "strelka", making out the intersection of the most important water trade routes. This miracle, preserved since the XII century, is called the swan temple.

Day 2 - Suzdal. Transfer to Kostroma and sightseeing tour to Ivanovo

Sightseeing tour of Suzdal is a museum city with about 200 historical monuments, many of which have UNESCO World Heritage status.
The city is called "the glorious city of heaven" and "the cradle of the Golden Ring".
Inspection of the architectural ensemble of the Suzdal Kremlin.
The Suzdal Kremlin is the oldest building in the city, which has absorbed its entire history since Vladimir Monomakh.
According to archaeologists, the Kremlin in Suzdal was built as early as the 10th century, despite this, all its main buildings have been preserved to this day, except for the protective walls and towers.
On request, for an additional fee: the Spaso-Efimiev Monastery with a concert of bells. Visit to the Transfiguration Cathedral. Russian grave of Prince Dmitry Mikhailovich Pozharsky, an outstanding Russian commander, is located in the monastery. The Museum of Wooden Architecture with unique buildings of the 17th and 19th centuries. The museum is built in the form of a rural street with temples, residential buildings, mills, barns and other buildings transported from different villages and villages of the Vladimir region.

Day 3 - Yaroslavl and Kostroma

You will see the arrow of the Volga and Kotorosli rivers, the Assumption Cathedral, walk along the Volga Embankment reconstructed for the 1000th anniversary of the city, explore the unique architectural ensemble of the central part of Yaroslavl, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
A visit to the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery is the main city attraction.
Due to the fortified walls, it is called the Kremlin. The main cathedral of the monastery has preserved the original paintings, it is the oldest extant temple in Yaroslavl. A handwritten list of the masterpiece of ancient Russian literature "The Word about Igor's Regiment" was discovered here.
Optional for an additional fee: inspection of the Church of Elijah the Prophet (interior – in summer, exterior – in winter) – an outstanding architectural monument of the Yaroslavl school of architecture.
Transfer to Kostroma.

Sightseeing tour of Kostroma, the most beautiful city on the Volga, one of the pearls of the Golden Ring.

The ancient merchant city, which has preserved to this day the original appearance of the architectural ensemble of the XVIII century, will open the veil of mystery of its unique history.

In the center there are:
the fire tower of the XIX century is an outstanding monument of classicism;
The Guardhouse building;
a perfectly preserved ensemble of Shopping malls, which are still in service.
Kostroma is the cradle of the Romanov dynasty. It was in the Ipatievsky monastery of Kostroma that Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov hid from the disgrace of Godunov.
Ipatievsky Monastery is the main symbol of Kostroma.
Inspection of the territory of the recreated Kostroma Kremlin, where the miraculous icon of the Fedorovskaya Mother of God is kept in the Epiphany Cathedral. It was written around 1239 and glorified by great miracles and healings. This is the most ancient work of iconography in Kostroma. The icon has long been revered as the defender of the city and the guardian of the Romanov family.

Day 4 - Rostov, Pereslavl-Zalessky and Sergiev Posad

Rostov is called Great for a reason, because its mentions date back to 862 in the annals.
The serene Lake Nero, strict and elegant monasteries, quiet streets and the majestic Kremlin help to break away from the hustle and bustle and touch the formation of Russia and Orthodoxy, turn over the pages of chronicles and history textbooks live.
Excursion to the Rostov Kremlin.
Surrounded by powerful walls with towers, outwardly it really resembles the Kremlin, an ancient Russian princely fortress, but in reality for a long time it was the Bishop's court – the residence of Rostov bishops and metropolitans.
The Kremlin is decorated with the Assumption Cathedral (XVI century) with a unique belfry, on which a set of 15 bells, the Bishop's Courtyard, and Cathedral Square have been completely preserved.

Departure to Pereslavl-Zalessky.
Pereslavl-Zalessky was founded in 1152 by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky.
Pereslavl is famous not only for its beautiful views and architectural masterpieces, many of which have been around for almost 10 centuries. For such a small town, it has a surprisingly rich history. Prince Alexander Nevsky was born here, Pereslavl was loved and often visited by monarchs, and Peter I made the city the cradle of the Russian navy.

Excursion to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.
The Trinity-Sergius Lavra is a pearl of Orthodox shrines in Russia with a centuries–old history. The architectural ensemble of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra is under UNESCO protection.
Trinity Cathedral (exterior) is the main cathedral church and the oldest surviving structure of the Trinity Monastery, the first stone building of the Lavra. The main shrine of the cathedral is the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
The Assumption Cathedral (interior) is the architectural center of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. It is inferior in seniority to the famous Trinity Cathedral, but nevertheless, with its location and strict majesty, it heads the Lavra group of buildings.

Day 5 - Alexandrov

Departure to Alexandrov.
City tour, with a visit to the Alexander Kremlin – the residence of the first Russian tsar Ivan the Terrible.
You can slowly admire the white-stone churches of the Alexandrovskaya Sloboda, fantasizing about how Ivan the Terrible once made important state decisions here and established the Oprichnina.
The excursion program includes an acquaintance with the architectural ensemble of the museum-reserve, the exposition "The Sovereign's Court in Alexandrovskaya Sloboda", the house temple and palace chambers, medieval basements, expositions "Alexandrovskaya Sloboda. Day 6 - Uglich

The ancient Russian town of Uglich stands on the Volga River, just in that picturesque place where it makes a steep bend. It owes its name either to this angular turn, or to the coal mines located here in ancient times, or to one of the Slavic tribes.
The Uglich Kremlin is the historical and urban–planning core of the city.
The chambers of Tsarevich Dimitri ("chambers of the Uglich appanage princes") are the only building preserved from the foundation of the Kremlin (a building of the 15th century).
The Church of Dmitry on Blood was built on the site of the death of Tsarevich Dmitry. Inside are paintings by artists of the late 18th century detailing this event.
The Transfiguration Cathedral (interior) is the cathedral of the city of Uglich, located in the center of the Kremlin.
The Assumption "Wondrous" Church of the Alekseevsky Monastery – the miraculous icon of the Mother of God is kept here.
A visit to the Resurrection Monastery – one of the most beautiful monasteries in the city. Surprisingly, no one can name the exact date of the monastery's foundation, but many historians tend to the 13th century.

Day 7 - Myshkin, Borisoglebsky or Martynovo (depending on arrival). Return to Moscow

Sightseeing tour in Myshkin, the Alley of Glory, the Assumption Cathedral, the museum "Russian Valenki" with expositions "Flax" and "Valenka Sisters and Brothers", the house of crafts with a forge and a pottery workshop.
According to legend, the city owes its origin to a mouse that woke up the sleeping prince at the moment when he was about to be bitten by a snake. At the place of his salvation, the prince built a chapel, around which the glorious city of Myshkin grew up.
Myshkin chambers – the atmosphere of royal life. The hospitable tsar and tsarina will tell you how heavy the crown is and teach you how to protect yourself from feline misfortunes. You will be able to reach into the royal bins, and in the darkness of the royal menagerie you will see exotic live mice.

"Museum of urban life of the XIX century" in Uglich. The museum exposition, with more than 3,000 exhibits, will tell about the life, way of life, customs and traditions of the Uglich people.
"Museum of the History of Russian vodka". The museum's exhibition stands are filled with all kinds of Russian alcoholic beverages from different cities of the country. Uglich is the birthplace of the vodka king – Pyotr Arsenyevich Smirnov.
Departure to Borisoglebsky. A tour of the Borisoglebsky Monastery, its architectural ensemble is called the pearl of ancient Russian architecture of the 16th and 17th centuries.

Transfer to Martynovo.
In the far west of the Yaroslavl region, a small (57 km long) Kadka River flows, the inhabitants inhabiting its banks are katskari. Katskari are Russian people, who, however, have their own peculiarities in customs, language, and folklore.

The local guide will introduce you to various Katsk myths that have survived to the present day.
Amazing animals are waiting for visitors in the Katsky courtyard.

Visit to the Museum of Katskars (peasant hut of the late nineteenth century). The life and way of life of peasants of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, in the hut all things have been living in their places since 1910, surrounded by Katsk folklore, Katsk myths and Katsk dialect.

Komennichanie is a theatrical and entertainment program in the Katsky dialect.
