When booking a trip, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the program and general information on the conditions of the trip, which must meet your expectations and capabilities, including physical and technical ones. The description of each route contains detailed information that allows the tourist to adequately evaluate the option he likes and avoid disappointment directly on the route.
Requirements for the participant of the trip (quad tours)
- Having a driver's license of any category. The tour participant driving the ATV (the driver) must have a driver's license. The passenger participant does not need a license.
- Age. Persons over the age of 18 are allowed to participate in the trip as a driver.
- Physical training. As a rule, participation in light category routes does not require special training. If you have any doubts about your preparation, we will help you choose the appropriate route for the appropriate difficulty category. Remember, you are voluntarily participating in the trip and you are responsible for your physical, moral, volitional and technical capabilities necessary to participate in the chosen route and for your health status.
- Health status. No one knows better than you about your health status, so if there are individual deviations, be sure to warn the instructor about this. Confidentiality is guaranteed at the same time.
Our trips are not recommended for patients with chronic diseases of the lungs, cardiovascular system, nervous system, musculoskeletal system, if the presence of these diseases may interfere with the route and/or worsen their health. If you have any health problems, be sure to consult your doctor first!
Meeting of the tour participants:
- The meeting of the tour participants takes place on the first day of the tour at 9:00 a.m. on the second floor of the Azimut Hotel, located at 82 Lenin Ave., Murmansk. The cost of a taxi from Murmansk airport to the hotel is approximately 700 rubles.
- If your transport (plane, train) is late on arrival in Murmansk and there is a risk of being late for the departure of vehicles, be sure to inform us about the current situation in order to decide on the coordination of further actions.
- You must have with you: passport, insurance policy.
- At the meeting, you need to be already with suitcases and room keys handed in. Immediately after signing the documents, we get on the bus.
Transport
- Vehicles (minibuses) leave on schedule, so try not to be late for the gathering place. If you are late, you will not be compensated for the cost of independent travel.
- Deviations from the motor transport route are not carried out at the request of tourists.
- Smokers. Smoking facilities are provided during stops provided for meals and rest. Do not scatter cigarette butts and used matches, but take them with you and dispose of them if necessary.
- Responsibility. In case of violation of public order and generally accepted norms of behavior, the escort (driver) has the right to drop off the violator at the nearest traffic police post. In this case, there is no compensation for the cost of travel and the cost of the tour.
- Upon arrival at the destination indicated in the itinerary, do not forget to pick up all your belongings. The company is not responsible for items left in transport. Disagreements about the breakdown or loss of personal property during transportation are resolved on the spot with the drivers, and on the active part of the tour — with guides.
Placement
- During the active part, tourists are accommodated in 2-4 local yurts of the campsite, a guest house on Cape Tsyp-Navolok (or in tents, if there are no places there), depending on the chosen trip.
- The tour participants have access to a sauna with a Finnish sauna and a shower.
- No compensation is provided for the use of personal tents and other equipment.
Food
- Breakfast is served on the day of arrival, and dinner is not provided on the day of departure.
- During the trip, breakfast and dinner are hot meals, dishes of Northern cuisine with local delicacies, lunches on the route: sandwiches, tea, chocolate, pastries.
- Please note: alcoholic beverages, beer and snacks are not included in the menu (but they are available at the bar). In Murmansk, alcoholic beverages are sold from 11:00 to 21:00 (take care of this issue in advance). The consumption of alcoholic beverages before or directly on the route is strictly prohibited.
Weather conditions
Summer on Kola is moderately cold, with an average air temperature +10 — +15 °. There are hot days with temperatures above +20 °C. In mountainous areas, the temperature decreases with an increase in elevation by about 0.5–0.6 ° per 100 m of elevation. Frosts on the soil are possible in any of the summer months. There is a high probability of fog and precipitation in the form of rain (in June — in the form of wet snow). On May 24, the polar day begins at the latitude of Murmansk, which lasts about 60 days. The sun begins to set over the horizon on July 17-20.
Safety
- You volunteer for the trip and know that mountains, rivers, and forests are places of increased danger to the health and lives of urban residents trapped in the natural environment. There are: rains, snow is possible on the passes, strong winds, prolonged bad weather, low and high air temperatures, sudden weather changes, fires, floods. A person is affected by temperature changes, altitudes, increased ultraviolet activity of the sun, and other factors.
- The routes pass through uninhabited territories devoid of the benefits of civilization, so the tour participant must be ready to travel and not be afraid of hiking conditions and the adversity of the weather.
- Medical care. The guide has a first aid kit. It is not recommended for people who need constant medical supervision to travel along the routes. You must have a personal first-aid kit with you, filled with the necessary medicines.
- Before entering the active part of the route, the guides conduct a safety briefing. The tour participant must comply with the rules of personal safety and the rules set out in the instructions, follow the instructions and commands of the guide.
- The guide is also the head of the trip. Attention! The guide has the right to terminate the trip and return the group to the base if any participant treats other participants, the guide with open disrespect, does not follow the instructions and commands of the guide, or neglects equipment. The violator is being transported to Murmansk. The cost of the trip is not refundable in this case. The rest of the group, at the discretion of the guide (depending on the distance traveled, time, and fuel consumption), continues along the route either this day or the next. If tourists refuse the instructor's services, abandon the route, or leave the route due to circumstances beyond the instructor's control, the instructor is not responsible for the life and health of tourists. You will have to become a team to make the trip enjoyable for all the members of the group.
- The route and timetable may be adjusted for safety reasons (river water levels, floods, difficult terrain, adverse weather conditions, etc.), or for other reasons beyond the control of the organizer. In any case, you will be informed about this. Do not insist on passing obstacles along the most dangerous path, the guide-guide independently assesses the readiness of the group and the complexity of the site.
- You need to consider the risk factors for your health and the safe passage of the route.:
– Traumatic: carelessness when overcoming natural and artificial obstacles, failure to comply with safety regulations, failure to follow the instructions of the guide, indiscipline, complacency, bravado, etc.;
– Fire hazards: smoking outside permitted areas, making bonfires outside designated areas (without consulting a guide); unopened matches, cigarettes, bonfires can cause natural disasters.
– Biological: the consumption of food brought with you or bought on the way, mushrooms, berries, plants and medicines unknown to you.
– Increased or decreased air temperatures: personal clothing and equipment that are inappropriate for weather and natural conditions.
Nature conservation
Respectful and careful attitude to nature is the most important rule of tourist behavior. Never forget that when you are traveling, you are visiting a friend of nature. Do not do anything that you would consider indecent to do at a party. It is unacceptable to tattoo rocks, stones, tree trunks. Wrappers, cigarette butts, paper, plastic bags and other waste from your activities should be taken with you and disposed of.
Following the instructions of the guide, your personal discipline and caution are a guarantee of your safety on the route!
Special information
- Upon agreement, in addition to the cost announced in the current price list, the paid part of the program can be expanded and supplemented with a change in the amount of payment by agreement.
- In case of intentional damage, rupture, breakage or loss of equipment, the tourist will compensate for the full cost of repairing or replacing the equipment.
- ATVs are not insured and in case of damage or breakage of the tour operator's property due to the fault of the tourist, the latter is obliged to reimburse the cost of the damaged / lost property or pay the tour operator the costs of its repair. This is due to the fact that insurance companies do not accept off-road vehicles for insurance, due to the increased risk of ownership and operation.
