Not far from the town of Ostashkov, on Lake Seliger, lies Stolobny Island, on which the walls and temples of the Ancient Russian Monastery of the Nilo–Stolobenskaya Desert rise majestically.

15:30 Excursion to the Museum of Gold Embroidery. Torzhok is the only Russian city that has managed to preserve this ancient art to the present day. The museum's exhibits reflect the history and current state of Torzhok gold embroidery and other types of folk hand and machine embroidery.
