Itinerary

Day 1 - Departure from St. Petersburg. Lake Valdai and the Iversky Monastery
07:30 Departure from St. Petersburg from Moskovskaya metro station, Demonstration passage (the street behind the monument to V. I. Lenin). Everyday stops. Travel information. Drive to Lake Valdai (315 km).
Stop at the island of Lake Valdai. Valdai Iversky Svyatoozersky Bogoroditsky Monastery, located on a beautiful island in the middle of Lake Valdai.
The monastery was founded in 1653 in honor of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God. It is a unique architectural monument, a center of tile production, wood and stone carving.
A walk through the territory of the existing monastery with a tour of the interiors of the main temple.
Free time.
Transfer to Lake Seliger (290 km).
Acquaintance with the recreation center "Sokol".

Day 2 - Ostashkov and the Nile Deserts

Optional boat tour to the Nile Desert for an additional fee.
Not far from the town of Ostashkov, on Lake Seliger, lies Stolobny Island, on which the walls and temples of the Ancient Russian Monastery, the Nilo–Stolobenskaya Desert, rise majestically.
The monastery was founded in the XVI century. The richest monastery in Russia was created by many famous architects: K. Rossi, A. Melnikov, I. Charlemagne, A. Battani.
Nilova Pustyn is a whole city consisting of buildings of various purposes: residential and farm buildings, rooms for the abbot of the monastery and the brethren, a hotel, barns, cellars.
There are also blacksmiths, ship repair shops, a stable yard and an orchard. In the middle of the monastery stands the Cathedral of the Epiphany of the Lord.
You will be able to climb the bell tower, which offers a magnificent panorama of the lake, surrounding islands, small villages and temples. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Nile Desert was the most visited Russian shrine and the second in the world after the Holy Sepulchre.
Return to the boarding house.

Sightseeing tour of Ostashkov.
You will see a small but beautifully planned city on a beautiful peninsula, which has preserved many buildings of very interesting architecture, left over from several centuries of its rich history. A peculiar feature of the city is the feeling that it stands directly on the water.
Bogorodichny Monastery in Ostashkov is a modest, beautiful in its simplicity, strict monastery, one of the oldest and most amazing architectural monuments, the spiritual centers of the Upper Volga region.
Founded in 1716, the monastery was dedicated to the main highly revered local shrine, the Smolensk Icon of Our Lady of Odigitria, the protector and patroness of Ostashkov.
An excursion to the Museum of Local Lore, which has a rich collection of fine arts and tells about the crafts and crafts of the Ostash, about the rich cultural and historical traditions of the region.

Day 3 - Recreation on Lake Seliger
Rest on Lake Seliger.
Meals – full board buffet: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Boat and catamaran rentals are available at the Sokol Recreation Center. You can also rent jet skis, paragliders, a Russian sauna, and a floating sauna.
You can visit the stable, which is a 10-minute walk from the pension. Hiking and hiking trips are available. The library is open.
For an additional fee:
bus tours "Holy Okovetsky key", "Shirkov Pogost", "Source of the Volga";
boat tours: "On the inner lakes of Khachin Island", "To the top of Seliger", "Silver Lake" and other excursions.

Sightseeing tour of the city. Torzhok is one of the oldest cities in the Upper Volga region. Numerous architectural monuments of the XVII-XIX centuries have been preserved in the city, among them: the wooden church of the Ascension of the XVII century, the Traveling Palace, built under Catherine the Great.
As well as the Borisoglebsky Monastery complex, the Transfiguration Cathedral, architectural masterpieces of the XVIII century by N.A. Lviv with the only monument to the great architect in Russia, numerous residential buildings in the classical style.
Excursion to the Museum of Gold Embroidery. Torzhok is the only Russian city that has managed to preserve this ancient art to the present day.
The museum's exhibits reflect the history and current state of Torzhok gold embroidery and other types of folk hand and machine embroidery.
Lunch at a cafe.
Departure to St. Petersburg.

The territory stretches for a kilometer strip from the Gulf of Khatinya (Seliger Lake) to the northern outskirts of the village of Zarechye. Two five-storey buildings for vacationers, an administrative building, a restaurant-type dining room with 500 seats, a library with board games, and a disco hall are picturesquely located on it among a pine-spruce forest.
