Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Vologda. Excursion to the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker
Arrival in Vologda before 09:00.
Meeting with the guide at the agreed place no earlier than 08:30-09:00.
Accommodation at the hotel in the evening according to the passport.
If you book an early check–in at the hotel (for an additional fee - specify the cost when booking), meet with the guide at the entrance to the hotel no earlier than 08:30-09:00.
Guests can get from the railway station to the hotel by taxi on their own.
Important! We recommend that tourists arriving by train early in the morning additionally book early hotel accommodation (cost on request).
09:00 Transfer to the village of Sizma (110 km) with travel information.
10:30 Meeting in Sizma according to the old Russian custom with an icon and bread and salt.
Excursion to the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (1867-1873), where a large number of ancient icons, stone parts from the honest and life-giving Cross of the Lord, which, according to legend, sailed to Sizma in 1875 along the river against the current, have been preserved. There are also icons that were miraculously renewed during the restoration of the temple (images of the Kazan Mother of God, Seraphim Sorovsky, etc.).
Excursion to the bell tower of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (height 18 m), where guests are allowed to ring the bells.
Excursion to one of the museums (village history Museum, flax museum, museum of peasant life).
Lunch of dishes prepared according to ancient Sisem recipes in a Russian oven (for adults - tasting of Sisem beer).
Visiting D.Solovarka (the wooden chapel of Blessed Xenia, the holy well of the Great Martyr George the Victorious (1678), the holy mountain ash on which the icon of the Virgin appeared, the destroyed church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary).
15:00 Transfer to Vologda (110 km).
16:30 Arrival in Vologda.

Day 2 - Visit to the Ferapontov Monastery. Visit to the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery
Breakfast at the hotel.
Meeting with the guide at the entrance to the hotel.
10:00 Transfer to Ferapontovo village (120 km) with travel information along the route.
12:00 Visit to the Ferapontov Monastery with a thematic tour of the frescoes of Dionysius with a visit to the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin.
14:00 Transfer to Kirillov (20 km).
14:30 Lunch.
15:15 Visit to the Kirillo-Belozersky territory of the "sovereign fortress" of Ivan the Terrible with architectural monuments of the XV-XVIII centuries. Visit to the Monastic Cell exhibition.
For arrivals after 05/01/2024, a visit to the exhibition "Antiquities of Belozerye" in the Basement of the Refectory is added.

15:00 Excursion to the active Spaso-Prilutsky Dimitriev monastery. Russian grave site inspection, interior decoration of the Spassky Cathedral and exterior architecture of the wooden Assumption Church of the 16th century, with a stop at the tomb of the Russian poet K.Batyushkov.
16:00 Transfer to the city center.
16:30 Visit to the shops under the brand "Real Vologda product", where you can buy the famous Vologda butter, meat and dairy products, sweets, alcoholic products from northern berries and much more.
17:30 Arrival at the railway station.
