Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Vologda. Excursion to the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker
Arrival in Vologda before 09:00.
Meeting with the guide at the agreed place no earlier than 08:30-09:00.
Accommodation at the hotel in the evening according to the passport.
If you book an early check–in at the hotel (for an additional fee, please specify the cost at the time of booking), meet your guide at the hotel entrance no earlier than 08:30-09:00.
Guests can get from the railway station to the hotel by taxi on their own.

09:00 Transfer to Sizma village (110 km) with travel information.
10:30 a.m. Meeting in Sizma, according to the old Russian custom, with an icon and bread and salt.
Excursion to the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (1867-1873), where a large number of ancient icons have been preserved, as well as stone parts from the holy and life-giving Cross of the Lord, which, according to legend, sailed upstream to Sizma in 1875. There are also icons that were miraculously renewed during the restoration of the temple (images of the Kazan Mother of God, Seraphim of Sorov, etc.).
Climb to the bell tower of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (height 18 m), where guests are allowed to ring the bells.
An excursion to one of the museums (the flax museum or the museum of peasant life).
Rustic lunch of dishes prepared according to ancient Sizem recipes in a Russian oven (for adults, a tasting of Sizem beer).
Visit to D.Solovarka, where the wooden chapel of Blessed Xenia is located, the holy well of the Great Martyr George the Victorious (1678), the holy mountain ash, on which the icon of the Virgin appeared, the destroyed Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin.
15:00 Transfer to Vologda (110 km).
16:30 Arrival in Vologda.

Day 2 - Visit to the Ferapontov Monastery. Visit to the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery

12:00 Visit to the Ferapontov Monastery with a thematic tour of the frescoes of Dionysius and a visit to the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin.

14:45 Visit to the largest functioning Orthodox monastery, the Kirill-Belozersky Monastery. Sightseeing tour of the territory of the "sovereign fortress" of Ivan the Terrible with an inspection of architectural monuments of the XV-XVIII centuries.
Visit to the Monastic Cell exhibition and the Assumption Cathedral.
17:00 Transfer to Vologda (130 km).

15:00 Excursion to the active Spaso-Prilutsky Dimitriev monastery.
Russian graves Tour of the territory, the interior of the Spassky Cathedral and the exterior architecture of the wooden Assumption Church of the 16th century, with a stop at the tomb of the Russian poet K.Batyushkov.
16:00 Transfer to the city center.
