Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Yakutsk — Khandyga. Ice crossings and historical and architectural museum in Cherkekh village

    Travel by car from Yakutsk to Khandyga, 432 km, 8-10 hours on the way.

    Crossing the Lena and Aldan rivers by ice crossings.

    Stops on the route at roadside cafes (meals at your own expense).

    Visit to the historical and architectural museum in the village of Cherkekh.

    ±19:00 Arrival in Khandyga.

    Accommodation in a private apartment-type hotel (double occupancy).

    Meals at the cafe are at your own expense.

What is the weather like on the tour?

Daytime weather ranges from -25°C to -45°C, at night up to -65°C.

There are thick fogs in Yakutsk with severe frost, and the route is mostly clear with no wind.

It is clear in the Oymyakon valley, without wind, with small low frosty clouds.

In the mountain range of the Magadan region, the frost is below -40 °C and the wind is from the Sea of Okhotsk.
