Itinerary

Day 1 - Zlatoust – White Key – Two–headed hill – White key - Rattlesnake Key
At 08:00 we meet with all the participants of the hike at the Central estate of the Taganay National Park, on the outskirts of the city of Zlatoust.
Zlatoust is a Ural city surrounded by mountains, famous throughout Russia for its knives – real works of art.
Approximately 08:30 – registration of the group, distribution of group equipment, preparation for the route;
Transfer to the Bely Klyuch shelter (6.5 km).
Bely Klyuch is a spring known for its clear, tasty and always cool water.
It got its name from the white quartzite that covers the bottom of the spring.
From here, leaving our backpacks, we will climb to the top of the Two-headed hill (1.5 km in one direction).
The climbing route starts on a metal ladder and continues along a rather steep path winding between birch trees.
At the top, being at an altitude of 1033 m above sea level, we will see the famous "feathers" (rocks, so named for their characteristic shape) and admire the panoramas of the Response Ridge and Kruglitsa Mountain.
Descent to the White Key, lunch snack;
Transfer to the Rattlesnake Key shelter (2,5), setting up a camp, dinner, evening gatherings around the campfire.
On foot: 9 km with backpacks, 3 km light;
Meals: lunch, dinner.

Day 2 - Rattlesnake Key – Taganay Shelter – Kruglitsa Mountain – Taganay Shelter
Breakfast, camp gathering.
Passing the Response Ridge and the Valley of Fairy Tales, we will make the transition to the Taganay shelter (6.5 km).
The responsive ridge is the business card of Taganai, from afar the ridge resembles either a prehistoric lizard, or a frozen sea wave on takeoff.
At the foot of Otkliknoye there is a unique area of low–growing coniferous forest with glades of berry bushes (cranberries, blueberries, blueberries), mountain grasses and juniper.
This place is commonly called the Valley of Fairy Tales.
Setting up a camp, a lunch snack.
The radial exit to Kruglitsa Mountain, the highest point of the Taganai mountain range (1178 m), is 2 km in one direction.
The round face, like a magnet, attracts esotericists, occultists, and psychics.
Various sacred signs are painted here and there on the stones.
The most common is the Roerich sign.
There are also a lot of small seids made of stones.
They say that wishes made on a Round Table will certainly come true.
Return to the camp, dinner.
On foot: 6.5 km with backpacks, 4 km light;
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 3 - Taganai Shelter – Kialimsky cordon – Taganai-gora weather station – Kialimsky cordon
Breakfast, camp gathering.
Transfer to the Kialim cordon (7 km).
Setting up a camp, a lunch snack.
Radial access to the Dalny Taganay ridge and a visit to the Taganay-Gora weather station (9 km).
Dalny Taganai (1146 m) is the northernmost and most extensive peak of the Bolshoy Taganai ridge.
Here is a real tundra with its characteristic vegetation.
At the top there are houses of the Taganai-Gora weather station, the highest mountain weather station in the entire Urals.
Return to the camp, dinner, evening gatherings around the campfire.
On foot: 7 km with backpacks, 9 km light;
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 4 - Kialimsky cordon – mount Itsyl – Kialimsky cordon
Breakfast, a radial hike to the city of Itsyl.
Return to the camp, dinner.
Itsyl is another peak of Bolshoy Taganay, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and ridges.
Today we will not go anywhere with large backpacks, and in the evening we will be able to go to the bathhouse at the cordon (payment on site).
On foot: 6 km light;
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 5 - Kialimsky cordon – Sukhokamenka River – Kushtumginsky glades
Breakfast, camp gathering, transfer to the Sukhokamenka River (12 km), lunch snack.
Transfer to the Kushtumga River (5 km).
Today we leave the Taganay National Park and start moving towards Lake Turgoyak.
We are going to have a real wading of the river!
We will spend the night in the Kushtumginsky glades, which offers a beautiful view of the entire Great Ural Ridge.
Setting up a camp, dinner, evening gatherings.
Walking distance: 17 km with backpacks;
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 6 - Kushtumginsky glades – Lake Turgoyak
Breakfast, camp gathering, transfer to Lake Turgoyak.
Turgoyak is the pearl of the Chelyabinsk region, the second cleanest lake in Russia with water close to Baikal in quality.
The water is cool here because the keys are beating near the shore, but everyone will still be able to swim.
On the shore of Lake Turgoyak, we will camp in a tent camp on the territory of the Lesnaya Skazka base, where we will go to the sauna, arrange a farewell dinner and share our impressions of the trip around a night campfire.
On foot: 10 km with backpacks;
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 7 - Lake Turgoyak – Miass
Wake up, breakfast, camp gathering.
In the morning we will have time to once again enjoy the views of the lake, swim, walk along the beach.
12:00 Departure to Miass, farewell to the group.
Meals: breakfast.

It's important to know

Equipment:

gaiters / "lanterns" (worn over boots);

the jacket is wind and moisture proof;

raincoat (membrane is better, the budget disposable option is polyethylene);
insulated jacket or vest;
fleece hat, buff, panama hat/cap;

1-2 T-shirts (preferably synthetic);

1 kg of breadcrumbs (can be placed in a tetrapack of juice for 1 liter.);
plate, spoon, mug (not ceramic), knife, matches;
personal first aid kit, in case of chronic diseases (the instructor will have a public first aid kit with a standard set of medicines) + elastic bandage, sterile bandage — 2 pcs., hydrogen peroxide, a wide tissue-based roll patch;
personal hygiene products (toothpaste, brush, soap, toilet paper, accessories for girls, etc.);
thermos flask (0.5-1 liter);
water bottle or hydrator;
sunglasses that do not pass ultraviolet light;
sunscreen spf 20-30;
lipstick is hygienic;
a flashlight (preferably a headlamp) + a set of batteries.
