At 08:00, we will meet with all the participants of the hike at the Central Estate of the Taganay National Park, on the outskirts of the city of Zlatoust.
Zlatoust is a Ural city surrounded by mountains, famous throughout Russia for its knives, which are real works of art. But we won't stay here for long: an exciting journey through the mountains of the Southern Urals awaits us.
Approximately 08:30 — group registration, distribution of group equipment, preparation for the route; transfer to the White Key shelter (6.5 km).
Bely Klyuch is a spring known for its clear, delicious and always cool water. It got its name from the white quartzite that covers the bottom of the spring.
From here, leaving our backpacks, we will climb to the top of the Two-headed hill (1.5 km in one direction).
The climbing route starts on a metal ladder and continues along a fairly steep path winding between birch trees. At the top, at an altitude of 1,033 m above sea level, we will see the famous "feathers" (rocks so named for their characteristic shape) and admire the panoramas of the Response Ridge and Mount Kruglitsa.
Descent to the White Key, lunch; transfer to the Rattlesnake Key shelter (2.5 km), setting up camp, dinner, evening gatherings around the campfire.
Accommodation: tents.
On foot: 9 km with backpacks, 3 km light.
Meals: lunch, dinner.
