Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at the base camp, fishing
08:00 General gathering of the group at the squadron site.
A meeting is organized for the guides who arrived at the airport (or at the train station) the day before, the participants stay overnight at the hotel, get acquainted with the rest of the team, receive the necessary safety instructions, rest before dropping off, and the next day, from the earliest morning, the team goes to the squadron site.
Waiting for the command to load the board, as a rule, does not take long, but there may be delays due to the morning fog in the mountains.
Receiving the dispatchers' morning weather report at 09:00.
If there is flight weather in the mountains, the group waits for the pilot's command to load, the expedition members are mobile loaded by helicopter into the mountains of the Polar Urals.
Arrival at the spit at the confluence of two mountain rivers Vorgaegan and Sorni-ya.
Mobile unloading of the board (carried out by absolutely all participants of the expedition in no more than 3 minutes).
After the full unloading of the board, the helicopter leaves the landing site.
The location of the team, the arrangement of the camp, the installation of tents, personal tents, chopping firewood (collectively), a campfire.
The chef is busy arranging a field kitchen, setting up a dining table, preparing a hot dinner on a campfire, according to the schedule of the selected menu, a hot lunch on a set dining table, in an expedition outdoor tent, is served by 14:00.
The time of serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and the general gathering of the team at the set table coincides with the suggested time on the menu: 9:00 — breakfast, 14:00 — lunch, 21:00 — dinner.
All participants of the expedition, without exception, must comply with the rule of general gathering at the table.
If the expedition members are late for breakfast, lunch and dinner, they will have to make do with only cold snacks and sandwiches.

If the helicopter is delayed due to weather conditions, it is possible to adjust the lunch and dinner time.
Free time for the expedition participants: fishing for Siberian grayling by spinning and fly fishing on the Sorni-ya River, in the middle reaches of the river, near the coastal cliffs, on the ples and pits, traveling to the upper reaches of the river.
Those who want to relax stay in the camp, the rest of the team, divided proportionally, makes short hikes upstream of the Sorni—ya and Vorgaegan rivers, as well as down after the confluence of two mountain rivers along the pebble banks along the Ruta-Yu riverbed.
Evening individual business.
The expedition participants are provided with Thuraya satellite phones, communication is carried out using their own SIM card, each expedition participant uses the balance of their personal SIM card only. Club SIM cards are used only in emergency cases, as well as for control calls.

Day 2 - Fishing, climbing the ridge of the Polar Urals, visiting the crash site of the AN-2 aircraft
Wake up at 8:30.
Individual morning tasks.
9:00 a.m. Hot breakfast (according to the menu).
10:00 a.m. For the main part of the group: radial exit to the upper reaches of the Vorgaegan River.
The path passes through the rugged polar tundra terrain along the old Khanty trail.
The team visits the transit camp of reindeer herders-Khanty, passes through white mosses, larch groves, blueberry fields, between unpaved lakes along the Vorgaegan River.
Grayling fishing by spinning and fly fishing in the upper reaches of the river.
The river, spreading widely, flows through the gorge, forming in some places unique pits-lakes up to 2-3 meters deep.
The river is crossed by numerous shivers and stone fields.
Participants of the hike must have appropriate waterproof shoes with them (rubber boots up to the waist, or waders).
The ultimate goal of the route is to climb one of the ridges of the Polar Urals for the purpose of photo shoots against the backdrop of a mountain range covered with eternal snow and glaciers, the ridges of the Polar Urals.
The path runs along the left bank of the Vorgaegan River.
14:00 Rest. Snack.
For the group members who have devoted their entire day to radial travel, the chef will pre-prepare and distribute a personal lunch box.
Those wishing to take part in a day hike in the mountains should inform the chef in advance.
There are 4 bear families settled in the upper reaches of the Vorgaegan River, all participants of the expedition must have with them a personal flare or a pyrotechnic signal from the hunter with an appropriate supply of pyrotechnic cartridges.
In some cases, this is the most appropriate self-defense weapon.
The guide of the group always has a hunting rifle with him (with a permit for storing hunting weapons, a hunting ticket, and a valid license for wild game).
15:00 Start of the return towards the camp.
The path runs along the right bank of the Vorgaegan River.
The expedition members move along the edge of the forest along wide clearings covered with dwarf birch and blueberry.

Day 3 - Rafting and fishing on the Ruta-Yu River
Wake up at 8:00. Individual morning tasks.

9:30 a.m. Collective assembly and preparation for catamaran rafting.
When the team is accompanied by an additional club guide-instructor, the instructor is responsible for preparing catamarans for rafting, and the team members are busy preparing for rafting and do not participate in the assembly of rafting equipment.
Gathering the camp, packing personal belongings in waterproof bags, collecting general club equipment, distributing equipment and products to catamarans, strapping things, distributing expedition participants in proportion to the load on each catamaran.
14:00 Hot lunch before starting the route.
15:00 Start of rafting.
Optimal location: 4 people on 1 catamaran.
The beginning of the rafting part of the route.
For the first few kilometers, the Ruta-Yu River has the character of a mountain river with shallow gullies and ripples, so the participants of the rafting in the second half of the first day of the rafting will have to work a little due to the dragging of catamarans through the rough shallow areas in the upper reaches of the Ruta-Yu River.
Active river rafting and fishing continues until 19:00.
For an intermediate camp on the riverbank, a suitable parking place is chosen (a wide, high, drained spit or a taiga clearing, a whitecoat), the expedition members unpack their personal belongings, arrange an overnight camp, the chef is busy preparing restaurant food, setting the table, and other preparations for the meal.

21:00 Hot gourmet dinner on the banks of the Ruta-Yu river.
Commemoration of the beginning of the rafting.

The length of the rafting is 6-8 km.
Attention! In case of unforeseen circumstances (weather conditions, the general desire of the group, unforeseen force majeure), the team can spend another, additional day in the mountains.
The expedition members rest in their own (or club) tents, sleep on tourist mats in their own insulated sleeping bags with a comfort temperature of minus 10 °C.

Day 4 - Fishing, catamaran rafting and river change
Wake up at 8:00.
Individual morning tasks.
9:00 a.m. Hot breakfast (according to the menu).
Fishing for grayling by spinning, as well as fly fishing rods near the camp.
Gathering the camp, packing personal belongings in waterproof bags, collecting general club equipment, distributing equipment and products to catamarans, strapping things, distributing expedition participants in proportion to the load on each catamaran.
A river change is planned at the end of the day.
11:30 a.m. Start of the day rafting on catamarans.
During the whole rafting day, fishing for Siberian grayling is provided by the team of each catamaran of promising places on the river.
There is a chef during the day. in agreement with the group, it moves autonomously, overtaking the team and waits for the group downstream of the Ruta-Yu River at intermediate stops for a hot lunch and an evening meal — a hearty hot dinner.
The duration of the day's catamaran rafting: 8 hours of measured rafting with short fishing stops and an hour-long lunch break.
An intermediate camp with a bonfire for lunch is provided from 14:00 to 15:00.
During the day's active rafting, fishermen and tourists can visit the mountain lake, located 3 km from the mouth of the Ruta-Yu River. For this walk, participants must be equipped with GPS navigators and flares in case they encounter wild animals.
19:00 Arrival at the mouth of the Pai Soim River.
The end of the day rafting.
Installation of a tent, personal tents.
Collective gathering of fuel for a campfire and a night party.
Charging batteries for photo/video equipment.

21:00 Gala dinner in honor of the river change.
The chef provides delicious taiga northern dishes, numerous appetizers from the northern fish of the glacial river, delicious sashimi and traditional sogudai, lightly salted grayling with pepper and crystal onion and other main meat dishes, according to the restaurant menu chosen by the group.

Day 5 - Day trip – fishing, hiking to glaciers and taiga urmans
Late rise at 8:45.
Individual morning tasks.
9:00 a.m. Hot breakfast (according to the menu).
On the fifth day of the expedition, a "day trip" is provided for the team — a break from rafting.
A camping bathhouse is installed on the spit of the Pai Soim River and heated for a very long time, long enough for the large boulders that line the fire pit to warm up.
This method of installing a sauna is used by many hiking tourists, the pebble bath turns out to be very hot and gives off heat for a long time, long enough for all team members to steam up.
The temperature and flow of the river allow you to take refreshing baths after such a bath, and there is enough dry firewood in the cedar-larch forest to warm the river boulders white.
During the day, the expedition members enjoy fishing and radial exits upstream of the Pai Soim River, and practice catching Siberian river grayling, which actively takes baubles and flies.
The spinners have the opportunity to learn fly fishing, and the most active members of the expedition will be able to go downstream of the Sarma-pyt-Yakha River in order to search for the legendary kingfish - the polar taimen.
14:00 Hot measured lunch.
The chef treats the expedition participants to a variety of hot and cold snacks, homemade rye bread, Kamchatka tortillas, triple soup "from the Chef", soft vitamin drinks: juices, fruit drinks, broths, lemonades, herbal tinctures infused with vitamin-rich natural ingredients, snacks of pickled redheads with homemade sour cream and onions, sashimi from freshly caught grayling, low-salted grayling, northern pike yuccola with oak bark and currant leaves, grated with a mixture of pepper, chopped grayling cutlets with wild garlic, pike and vegetable soup, fresh grayling with vegetables, shulums from wild northern game, taiga teas with currant leaf, honeysuckle berries, lingonberry leaf, chaga and pine saplings, and, of course, the main meat dishes from specially prepared for such unique dinners – fragrant lamb and steamed pork.
After a hearty lunch, a radial hike to the upper reaches of the Pai Soim River is planned for the tireless members of the expedition.
For the most hardy participants, hikers are given the opportunity to walk to the beginning of a mountain range with streams and take photo shoots on glaciers.

Day 6 - Rafting and fishing on the Sarma-pyt-yakha river
Wake up at 8:00.

Camp fees, removal from two-day parking, packing of personal and general belongings, strapping catamarans.
The beginning of the day's movement.
The sixth day of the helicopter expedition is devoted entirely to rafting downstream of the Sarma-pyt-Yakha River, which is formed at the confluence of two powerful mountain rivers, the Pai-soim and Ruta-Yu arteries.
The current of the Sarma-pyt-yakha River is calm and slow.
As the altitude drops, as you move away from the mountains, the nature of the river changes, and tundra movements appear along the banks.
The rafting route along the Sarma-pyt-Yakha River is interesting for tourists and fishermen primarily because it passes through a rather inaccessible area of the Polar Urals.
Its distinctive feature is the abundance of diverse landscapes.
In the upper reaches of the river there are tundra, forest-tundra, mountainous terrain and dense, impassable Siberian taiga.
In the middle reaches of the river, cedar and birch-spruce floodplain forests with a narrow strip of flooded meadows are quite common.
Such shores stretch for many kilometers.
The taiga forest is difficult to traverse due to the large presence of dead wood.
The purpose of the 6th day of the expedition is to raft as low as possible towards the confluence with the Northern Ushman River.
While rafting downstream of the Sarma-pyt-Yakha River, the team stops for short-term stops in order to fish for the legendary kingfish, the polar taimen.
Every taimen caught, after a short photo shoot, is necessarily released back into the river.
Taimen is a valuable fish listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the dream of every fisherman is to see and catch red—tailed salmon at least once.
The participants do not violate the law of the Russian Federation and are warned that any caught taimen must be released into the wild.
This is the basic rule and condition in our expeditions: If you catch a taimen, you release the taimen.
The entire taimen must be released back into the river— its native element.
14:00 Hot lunch.
From 15:00, rafting and fishing on the Sarma-pyt-yakha River will continue.
19:00 Arrival at the intermediate parking lot to set up a night camp.
The parking place is chosen by the guide, following the basic rules of rafting.
The parking lot is chosen in consultation with the team, preferably opposite a rock with a pit or a pool.
As a rule, the nocturnal predator, the taimen, stays in pits, deep ples, barrels, and pools under steep cliffs.
The end of the day rafting.
Installation of a tent, personal tents.
Collective gathering of fuel for a campfire and a night party.
Charging batteries for photo/video equipment.
21:00 Hot dinner (according to the menu).
From 22:00, 23:00 – the time of night fishing for predatory fish using special luring gear – a mouse and a surface wobbler.
Experienced fishermen use the night time for the purpose of fishing for taimen, which resembles a peculiar process of night hunting — an indescribable feeling of hunting excitement that can attract even a tourist fisherman who is not familiar with such a fishing process.

Day 7 - Rafting and fishing on the Sarma-pyt-yakha and Severnaya Ushmanya rivers
Wake up at 8:45. Individual morning tasks.
9:00 a.m. Hot breakfast (according to the menu).
The last, final, seventh day of rafting.
After a hearty taiga breakfast, packing personal and general equipment, strapping catamarans and other pre-rafting activities, the team sets off downstream to the arrow (confluence) of the Sarma-pyt-Yakha and Severnaya Ushmanya rivers.
Fishing, short technical stops, moderate rafting, hunting (only in the autumn months and with a mandatory license).
14:00 Hot lunch, intermediate day camp by the campfire.
15:00 Continuation of rafting.
19:00 Arrival at Strelka River (river confluence) Sarma-pyt-Yakha and Severnaya Ushmanya (in the event that by 19:00 the team does not have time to complete the rafting distance provided for on the last rafting day, it is possible to set up a stationary camp on one of the river's wide spits suitable for the necessary conditions before reaching the final destination — the Pyt—Yakha River characteristics for landing/take-off of the MI-8 transport helicopter.
The team leader selects the scythe to remove the team from the route.
The group leader reports the GPS coordinates to the expedition supervisor (to civilization).
Upon arrival at the final point of the route, after setting up an overnight camp for the group, the expedition participants have the opportunity to make a short hike for trophy pike fishing, taimen down the Pyt-Yakha River, which is formed after the confluence of two rivers: the Northern Ushmanya and Sarma-pyt-Yakha.

Day 8 - The end of the expedition
Early rise at 7:45. Individual morning tasks.
7:45 a.m. Satellite connection. Report morning weather conditions.
9:00 a.m. Hot breakfast (according to the menu).
9:00 a.m. Satellite communication with civilization in order to report weather conditions.
If the weather is favorable for departure (absence of cyclones, fog in the foothills, heavy rain, thunderstorms), a general collection is announced, along with packing of general equipment and personal ammunition.
All personal belongings and general equipment are placed in the center of the spit at the direction of the team leader.
The team is in standby mode.
In the absence of flight weather, the flight may be delayed from several hours to several days.
The safety of removal from the flight route is the most important criterion in the organization of helicopter expeditions.
11:30-13:30 Arrival of the boat on the river.
All participants of the expedition are placed on their belongings, according to the instructions of the group leader.
When landing the helicopter, the team members clearly follow the instructions of the senior team member.
All actions when loading the board are planned in advance, according to the instructions of the team leader.
Those responsible for loading things inside the board are appointed, the rest load ammunition outside.
The take—off area - the spit of the river must be cleared of debris, hats and plastic bags, rags and other rags must be put away in personal bags during loading.
Boarding is performed only at the command of the pilot.
The board is loaded in a minimum time not exceeding 3 minutes.
Return flight, flight duration is 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Arrival to civilization in the evening.
Unloading of the board, packing of personal equipment by car (or transfer of the expedition participants to the airport / train station).
The end of the expedition.
Departure of the participants, or, at the request of the group, a stop at a comfortable club hotel.
A gift from the company is a sauna with a swimming pool, a font and a Jacuzzi.

You will find a complete lack of civilization, river rafting 1-2 KS (ideal difficulty for novice rafters), rugged and mountainous terrain.
