Our Elbrus climbing program follows the most popular southern route, but the approach to the upper camp lies away from the hotels and the cable car. This option is suitable for those who are ready to give up the benefits of civilization and plunge into the life of a tent camp. You will walk all the way from the beginning to the end with your own feet, so it is important to have good physical training.

Climbing the highest point in Europe is not only a physical challenge, but also a spiritual challenge that will bring a lot of emotions and impressions

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Departure to the Elbrus region
Self-service transfer to Pyatigorsk.
Meeting at the office from 09:00 to 11:00, Pyatigorsk, Intourist Hotel.
Checking the necessary equipment, if something is missing, you can rent it for an additional fee.
Lunch for an additional fee.
Briefing for all members of the group. Transfer to the Elbrus region.
Accommodation in a tent campsite (2-4 people each), Terskol village.
The campsite is located in a pine forest, near a mountain river.
Cooking dinner on your own (2 attendants are assigned to cook food per day).
Please note: All necessary equipment is provided, your own products or you can buy a package of products for an additional fee.
Day 2 - Acclimatization exit to Cheget
Cooking breakfast.
On this day, the acclimatization process begins.
A lesson on walking and breathing techniques.
The mountain offers a beautiful view of the peaks of Elbrus.
We go up on foot to get a workout and acclimatize, and go down by cable car to save our legs and keep our strength before the next day.
Return to the camp.
Briefing with a guide, discussion of the program for the next day.
In your free time, you can take walks in the surrounding area.
Cooking dinner.
Day 3 - Trekking to the Maiden Braids waterfall
Campground gathering.
We leave civilization for the mountains, with backpacks.
We go up the dirt road to the Observatory. On the way, we visit the Maiden Spit waterfall.
We are setting up a tent camp.
Rest.
Day 4 - Transfer to the Ice Base
Campground gathering.
A short walk to the Ice Base.
A lesson on the technique of self-retention on a snowy slope using an ice axe.
Accommodation in a tent camp.
Rest.
Day 5 - Transition to the Shelter 11
Campground gathering.
The passage in a bundle through the glacier to the Shelter 11.

Day 6 - Acclimatization output
Acclimatization.
We go up light, to a height of 5000 m, and return to the camp.
Elevation difference per day: 900 m.
Day 7 - Day of rest
A day of rest before climbing.
Preparing for the ascent.
A short walk to keep your muscles and respiratory system in good shape. Early lights out to get enough sleep before climbing.
Day 8 - Climbing Elbrus
Climbing to the top of Mount Elbrus.
Rise at midnight. 1.5 hours for packing.
From the assault camp itself, we go in cats, with ice axes and headlamps.
By the time you climb, you will already be well acclimatized and will be able to walk and breathe correctly, walk in cats, cut yourself with an ice axe in case of a breakdown. On difficult sections of the route, you will walk in tandem.
The ascent to the top lasts 8-10 hours, depending on the physical abilities of the participants, the weather and the condition of the slope. The descent takes about 3-4 more hours.
Regardless of the result, from 1 p.m. onwards, the movement of all group members is carried out only downwards.
During the ascent – a snack (dry rations), thermoses with tea or hot drink on their own.
Overnight in a tent camp.
*if you manage to descend from the top before the cable cars close before 16 o'clock, then you can leave for Pyatigorsk on the day of the descent.
Day 9 - Descent to the Azau clearing. Return to Pyatigorsk
The release of a place in the Shelter.
09:00-10:00 Descent by cable car to the Azau meadow.
From 11:00-12:00 group transfer to Pyatigorsk.
The tour is over.
If the reserve days are not used, the tour will end 1 or 2 days earlier.
