Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Mineral waters — Terskol — Terskol waterfall — Terskol

    Accommodation: hotel.

    Bus: 180 km.

    On foot: 10 km light, climb 700 m.

    Meals: -.

    Meeting place and time of the group: at 10.00 a.m. at Mineralnye Vody airport or at the railway station.

    We get into a comfortable minibus and drive to the village of Terskol (180 km).

    We'll stop at a cafe on the way.

    Arrival in the village, accommodation at the hotel.

    A walk through the Terskol gorge to the waterfall of the same name will not leave anyone indifferent.

    We will walk through a fabulous mountain valley and enjoy the smell of blooming mountain herbs.

    And after climbing to the powerful Terskol waterfall, we will return to the village.

    We'll go to a cafe for dinner in the evening.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Equipment:

  • a backpack of 80-100 liters (either a large trunk, a huge bag or a giant suitcase, provided that things are dropped off at the shelter on a snowmobile);
  • A 30-liter backpack with a stick or ice tool attachment system (for radial exits and for assault);
  • rain cover on a backpack;
  • sleeping bag (comfort temperature 0-+5);
  • mustache self-insurance+2 carabiners with a clutch (can be rented from us);
  • climbing cats (can be rented from us);
  • ice axe (you can rent it from us);
  • safety system (can be rented from us);
  • trekking poles (you can rent from us);
  • hoba (foam pad, tourist seat).

Clothing and shoes:

  • mountain boots (can be rented on site) or high boots for hard trekking with ankle fixation;
  • gaiters (flashlights);
  • sports sandals;
  • windbreaker jacket (windproof, it is also waterproof, a membrane is better, at least 10000/10000);
  • windproof/moisture-proof pants (membrane);
  • down jacket (warm jacket), a jacket that is very warm, but takes up little space and weight;
  • fleece jacket;
  • thermal underwear; 
  • T-shirt or long sleeve shirt;
  • 1-2 T-shirts;
  • lightweight running pants (like sweatpants), you can also wear shorts;
  • mittens are warm and windproof (tops with insulation). So that they don't blow through and can be put on gloves.;
  • fleece gloves;
  • balaclava + windproof mask;
  • panama hat, fleece hat, cotton gloves;
  • trekking socks 2 pairs, warm socks, regular socks 4
  • lingerie.

What else can I take:

  • tableware (plate, mug, spoon, knife);
  • personal hygiene products. Toothpaste and brush, small soap, shampoo in single bags, small deodorant, toilet paper, hygiene products for women, shaving machine, washcloth, wet wipes.);
  • first-aid kit for personal use, in case of chronic diseases + 1 elastic bandage, 2 sterile bandages, hydrogen peroxide, tissue-based roll-up patch (a public first-aid kit with a standard set of medications will be provided by the instructor);
  • UV-resistant sunglasses (at least 3 cat.);
  • ski mask with dark lens;
  • a good headlamp + a set of spare batteries;
  • sunscreen (SPF starting from 50-60);
  • hygienic lipstick with SPF;
  • thermos 0.7 -1 liters.;
  • individual 1 liter water bottle or hydrator.

Documents:

  • passport;
  • medical policy;
  • money for additional expenses (cafes, souvenirs, etc.).

Additionally:

  • plastic or other thick waterproof bags to keep things dry.
