Karjala—style winter holidays to Karelia from St. Petersburg

Breakfast.

Departure with a guide for the excursion program. 

Excursion to the Siberian Husky kennel (near the Ruskeala Mountain Park). You will be introduced to the history of the Siberian Husky breed, riding and everyday life of the peoples of the north. 

Now there are 40 dogs living in the kennel. These are Siberian huskies and riding mestizos, all of them work in a team.

You will be able to chat and take pictures with the dogs! 

In addition to dogs, reindeer, foxes, raccoons, pigs, crows, owls, squirrels and rabbits live in the kennel!

During the holidays, there will be a New Year's program for the guests: a fabulous performance, games and contests with the real Santa Claus, Baba Yaga and other characters!

After the performance, the guests will be able to take pictures with fairy-tale characters in the New Year's photo zone!

Dog sledding is optional for an additional fee.

Next, we will make a stop in a picturesque place near Ruskeala waterfalls. The shooting of the cult Soviet film "And the dawns are quiet here" took place here. Now it is a great place for walks and photo shoots in nature. 

Optional for an additional fee. for a fee, a walk along the ecotrope with hinged bridges over waterfalls (adult — 400 rubles, preferential — 300 rubles).

Excursion to the Ruskeala Mountain Park (30 km from the city Sortavala). It is the most visited tourist site in Karelia at the moment. Since the 17th century, marble has been mined here for 300 years to decorate palaces and temples of the Northern capital. 

In your free time, for an additional fee, you can:

• visit the exposition of wooden sculptures "Abode of Angels";
• take a ride over Marble Lake on a trolley (zip-line);
• have a meal in the cafe of the mountain park, buy souvenirs. 

Additional services on the territory of the mountain park are purchased directly on site, at the ticket offices of the mountain park. They are not booked in advance.

Those who wish can leave the mountain park by the Ruskealsky Express retro train at 17:00 (tickets are not included in the tour price).

Return to the city Sortavala.

Room release. Departure with a guide to Petrozavodsk (transfer about 250 km).

On the way, we will stop in the Karelian village of Kindasovo, where the program "Village fun or New Year in Kindasovo!" awaits you. 

Karelian culture and a kind of Kindasian humor are combined in a unique way here. Since the 19th century, stories and anecdotes have been circulating about the villagers. 

By coming here, you can become a real Kindasian and even speak Karelian. 

You will be treated to traditional Karelian pies and fragrant tea with herbs! You will hear the enchanting sounds of national instruments: kantele and jouhikko, find out what a yaga is, why Karel needs a big house and who is in charge of the village. In this place, even adults have fun like children!

Late lunch.

Getting to know the city of Petrozavodsk, the capital of the Republic of Karelia. You will see the historical center, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Governor's Park and, of course, the monument to Peter I— the founder of Petrozavodsk.

The tour program ends approximately at 19:00 at the Petrozavodsk railway station. 

Before the train departs, you will still have the opportunity to buy souvenirs and stroll through the festive streets of the city. See you again in Karelia!
