Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting in Tver. Transfer to Lake Seliger
Our journey will begin in the ancient city of Tver, which is conveniently accessible from Moscow by high—speed Swallow, and from St. Petersburg by train or Peregrine Falcon. From Tver, a registered transfer will take us to the shore of the lake, near the village of Svetlitsa.
We will arrive at the place closer to midnight, we will set up camp here, have dinner and go to bed.
On the 18-20.07 tour, we arrive at the place around 13:30 and immediately transfer to a boat, which, rapidly cutting through the water, will take us to the picturesque island of Khachin.
The logistics of the route is not easy, as the island is accessible only by waterway — there is no bridge here. But Seliger and Khachin Island are worth all the effort: it is called "Seliger in miniature."
Pine and deciduous forests, numerous lakes, rare swamps, as well as a pristine spring, abandoned villages with ancient houses and an island residential village await you here.
In the next few days we will explore this unique corner of nature, enjoying its beauty and atmosphere.
Transfer from Tver in 3-4 hours, 200 km.

Day 2 - Seliger's Heart is Khachin
Waking up on a hike for the first time is unusual, but very pleasant!
While the attendants are preparing breakfast, we are not wasting time and are setting up camp to see as much as possible today. (On the 18-20.07 hike, we set up camp 1 time immediately on the island).
After breakfast, a fast boat will take you to the island. A short walk to the parking lot. We set up camp and go for a light walk around the island.
We will walk through the protected forests, rich in mushrooms and blueberries in the season, and look at the moss marshes. If we're lucky, we'll meet some of the island's wild inhabitants. Herons, deer, and other birds nest near the lakes.
We will walk about 15 kilometers a day, making stops for snacks, photo shoots and berry picking. In the evening, we'll relax by the campfire, chat, and play games.
There is not a mobile connection everywhere on the island, so we are setting up for a digital detox and communication with nature.

Day 3 - The Nile deserts. Return to Tver
We wake up to the sound of birds singing. After a delicious breakfast, we'll walk along the paths, plunge into the warm lake, wander through the moss, and eat blueberries in season. But not for very long – there are a lot of interesting things ahead.
We cross the lake by boat again. The monastery of the Nile Deserts awaits us ahead. This monastery was founded in 1594 in honor of St. Nil Stolobensky, who, according to legend, lived here on the island.
Before the revolution, this monastery was one of the most revered and popular in Russia. Now there are about 50 monks living here, there is an apiary, a dairy farm, a fish farm and other industries.
The monastery stands on a beautiful island, surrounded by the Seliger cliffs, rugged beaches, beaches and islets. We will admire all this when we climb to the very top of the bell tower of the monastery.
We will visit the temple, walk past other buildings, have lunch in a cafe and buy local souvenirs, honey and smoked fish.
We finish our hike at 14:30 and get on the bus and return to Tver, from where we leave for our cities.
The journey is over, but the memories, emotions, impressions (and the smell of smoked fish) will stay with us for a long time!

When traveling to nature, it is especially important to carefully approach the selection of equipment. Regardless of the weather forecast, take a raincoat, a light jacket and a change of clothes for the camp.

A small backpack for walking will also come in handy — put everything you need in it for walking.

Overall, I was really happy with how everything was organized — the instructors, Andrei and Rita, were great. Big thanks to them. The only downside was arriving at the camp at midnight, but I understand that was planned to accommodate those who work on Fridays. Other than that, everything went smoothly. I’ll definitely come back to Seliger❤

I really enjoyed Seliger and Khachin Island. It looks like a new family tradition is starting — spending a few days at Seliger every year. The tour was very comfortable and well organized.
