Hello, fellow travelers! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves long hikes, admires the grandeur of the mountains and the beauty of nature, and prefers to stay away from crowded places. I was captivated by the towering peaks and ancient forests of the Western Sayan, the long and sometimes challenging trails, and the mist that would suddenly roll in, wrapping everything in its embrace. Everywhere I looked, there was something to see, chipmunks darting about, kites soaring overhead, and traces of wild animals going about their lives. The list could go on and on... Hiking with my backpack, surrounded by this breathtaking landscape, I couldn't help but recall the words of the famous Russian songwriter and poet Vladimir Vysotsky: "The only thing better than mountains are the mountains one hasn’t yet been to."

The tour, the location, the camp, the nature — all absolutely amazing, full of energy 👍 The managers have done a great job selecting the team — the admins and guides are incredibly positive, knowledgeable, and experienced :) Igor, Elena, Sergey, and Mikhail — just fantastic, one love :) Easily 100 out of 100, or even more!!! 1 small note: the dry rations and sausages (like bacon and frankfurters) could be of better quality. There's variety, which is great, but the quality could definitely be improved. Also, it would be nice to have more types of cheese :)

An amazing tour for anyone in need of a full reset! The program was wonderfully varied, offering different kinds of activities that gave us a real feel for Mountain Shoria. We learned about the Shor people and their history at the Museum of Ethnography and History in Tashtagol, went rafting down the Mrassu River, and hiked up Mount Kurgan. The main highlight in Tashtagol, in my opinion, is the Golden Shoria monument — a truly unique work of art. Aside from that, it’s a typical small provincial town. Sheregesh, on the other hand, was a completely different experience. That’s where we were based, staying at the Grünhof Hotel located in a hotel village right in the center of the ski resort. The rooms were excellent. Breakfast was served buffet-style with traditional Russian options like porridge, sausages, and pancakes — but only when the hotel was full, usually on weekends. On quieter days, breakfast depended on what was available in the kitchen, but it was always enough. Since we were there off-season, most of the hotels and restaurants were closed, so finding food outside the hotel could be tricky. Thankfully, the Kalina-Malina chain saved the day — we could buy plenty of delicious ready-made meals there, including grilled meat, chicken, side dishes, and more. They also had a great selection of tasty Siberian souvenirs like marshmallows, chocolate and marmalade with pine nuts and cones, herbal teas, etc. I stocked up there myself since we didn’t have time to visit a separate gift shop. The real highlight of the trip was the rafting and spending 2 nights truly ALONE with the taiga — an unforgettable experience! Huge thanks to our amazing guides and catamaran captains, Inna and Pavel. They were true professionals! Thanks to them, we had a fantastic time, ate incredibly well (Inna’s open-fire cooking could honestly win an award!), and learned so many fascinating facts about life in the taiga, as well as its wildlife. Some of us even saw a kite, a heron, a black crane, and a stork! The atmosphere in our group was warm and friendly — a real joy. At the end of the tour, we climbed Mount Kurgan (1,565 m), where a cross stands at the summit. The hike took us through a stunning variety of landscapes — from forests and swamps to tundra and rocky scree. The views we saw were absolutely breathtaking — no photo can truly capture the vastness and beauty. We even tasted wild taiga herbs like wood sorrel and a plant similar to wild garlic. Special thanks to our guide Anatoly, who was very thoughtful about everyone’s abilities and made sure we hiked at a comfortable pace. Although our group had a wide range of fitness levels, everyone made it to the top, and we had plenty of time to take photos and just soak in the scenery. Thanks also to our local guide Natalia (in Tashtagol) and to Olesya, who supported us remotely via the WhatsApp group!

About the tour - Ergaks. Stone City
It was a truly memorable journey... The trip to 'Stone City' and the 'Hanging Stone' is suitable for people of all ages, but physical fitness plays an important role. I had to climb numerous steps and jump over boulders. For such hikes, having the right footwear with good grip is essential. While these aren’t the most challenging routes, the heat of 38°C made it a bit tough for me. I was fortunate to have a great group and, of course, our guide Nikolai. His understanding, attentiveness, humor, and positivity helped our group tackle all the challenges of the hike. A huge thank you to the tour team, drivers, and especially to our guide Nikolai! These amazing memories will stay with me for a long time!

An exciting hike packed with memorable experiences and plenty of photos! We were welcomed wonderfully, almost like at a restaurant. The camp was cozy and well-equipped, complete with a sauna and even a guitar, making the evenings lively and musical! :) The guides and porters were a fun and cheerful group—though they occasionally lost the trail, which just added an extra bit of ‘adventure’ to the experience :D And don’t underestimate the weight of the backpacks and food—by the time you’re crossing a pass with nearly 20 kg on your back, it’s no joke!!! :) But everyone pushed through, survived, and discovered their own strength!!
