Day 1 - Vyshny Volochek
07:30 Departure from St. Petersburg from Moskovskaya metro station, Demonstration passage (behind the monument to V. I. Lenin). Everyday stops. Travel information.
Arrival in Vyshny Volochyok is a county town that resembles St. Petersburg with the prospect of avenues and main streets aligned as if according to a ruler, as well as a solid facade.
The city is famous for the Vyshnevolotsk water system during the reign of Peter the Great, which opened transit traffic between Tsna and Tvertsa and thus between Moscow and St. Petersburg with the help of a chain of canals, locks and reservoirs.
The city has served as a stop between the capitals for centuries, and it's not for nothing that Alexander Radishchev dedicated an entire chapter to Volochok, "Travels from St. Petersburg to Moscow."

Day 2 - Walking tour to the active monastery of the Nile Deserts

The history of this place is connected with the life and exploits of the monk (hermit) Nile, who lived on this island for 27 years.
The relics of the Rev. The Nile, as well as a fragment of the relics of St. Peter the Great. St. Spyridon of Trimifunt, miraculous icons are considered the main values of the monastery.
Visit the Church of the Epiphany and Holy Cross Cathedral (the favorite temple of Emperor Alexander 1).
After the tour, you can have free time to climb the bell tower, walk around the island, relax, visit the museum of the Nile Desert, the monastery pharmacy, etc.

Day 3 - Ostashkov City Bus Tour
Breakfast.
Bus tour of Ostashkov, which is more than 600 years old. A peculiar feature of Ostashkov is the feeling that he is standing right on the water.
There are wooden houses of the 19th century, stone temples, as well as houses with lions and Atlanteans in the city. The typical urban layout of cities from the era of Catherine the Great has been preserved here.
Bogorodichny Monastery in Ostashkov is a modest, beautiful in its simplicity, strict monastery, one of the oldest and most amazing architectural monuments, the spiritual centers of the Upper Volga region.
Founded in 1716, the monastery was dedicated to the main highly revered local shrine, the Smolensk Icon of Our Lady of Odigitria, the protector and patroness of Ostashkov.
An excursion to the Museum of Local Lore, which tells about the history of the Seliger region, about the crafts and crafts of the Ostash, about the rich cultural and historical traditions of the region.

Day 4 - Visit to the A. S. Pushkin Museum. Torzhok City Sightseeing Tour

Transfer to Torzhok.
Visit to the A. S. Pushkin Museum. The museum's exposition allows us to present A. S. Pushkin's path along the highway from St. Petersburg to Moscow: ancient maps of Russian roads, household items, horse harnesses, Valdai bells, images of postal stations, inns.
As well as autographs of the poet's letters to relatives and friends describing road events, Pushkin's sketches of landscapes and road scenes help the museum visitor to be transported back to the Pushkin era.
Sightseeing tour of the city. Torzhok is one of the oldest cities in the Upper Volga region. Numerous architectural monuments of the XVII-XIX centuries have been preserved in the city, among them: the wooden church of the Ascension of the XVII century, the Traveling Palace, built under Catherine the Great.
As well as the Borisoglebsky Monastery complex, the Transfiguration Cathedral, architectural masterpieces of the XVIII century by N. A. Lviv with the only monument to the great architect in Russia, numerous residential buildings in the classical style.
Lunch at a cafe.

The tour was organized perfectly, and our guide Marina accompanied us throughout the entire trip. Even though there were only three people in the group, the tour went ahead as planned. Not even the Siberian winter cold could stop us, and we were able to enjoy the full program. One of the highlights was that our lunches were arranged in unique and memorable venues. Each place had its own character and served excellent food. The “Eternal Call” restaurant was especially outstanding! Since our group was so small, we explored the city in Marina’s car, which made the experience feel much more personal and comfortable. Despite the freezing temperatures, we even got to celebrate Maslenitsa at the Voivode’s Estate, which was great fun and a truly memorable experience. Marina is a true professional. With her knowledge, enthusiasm, and engaging storytelling, she made us fall in love with Tomsk, a city with more than 400 years of history.
