I really enjoyed the tour itself, and all the guides were great! For my taste, the schedule was a bit too packed, and there wasn’t much free time to explore the city on our own (especially in Makhachkala). However, I understand that a lot of time was spent on the road and the number of days was limited. Overall, I have a very positive impression of the tour.

Dagestan is absolutely breathtaking, but what truly made the trip special was our guide, Ekaterina. She created a wonderful atmosphere, introduced us to the region’s unique culture, and shared fascinating stories and legends. Our driver, Zamir, also made every journey memorable and enjoyable, thanks in part to his excellent choice of music :)

Mountains, breathtaking scenery, and fresh air, what more could you ask for! The weather was perfect, allowing us to complete all the routes and fully enjoy the surrounding beauty. The highlight of the trip was ascending Elbrus, even if only at an amateur level, it was still an incredible achievement. Walking through snow at an altitude of 4150 meters in mid-June is a real test of both body and mind. Many thanks to our guide Andzhelika for her sensitivity and patience, for taking care of everyone, and for sharing fascinating stories about each route.

In mid-June, we joined the tour “A Grand Journey Through Dagestan: The Highlights in 5 Days.” We would like to express our sincere thanks to our guide, Yana, for her engaging and informative insights into the region’s history and legends, as well as for her attentiveness and thoughtful planning throughout the trip. We are also grateful to our driver, Ruslan, for his careful driving and for keeping the bus comfortably cool during the journey. The mountains are extraordinarily beautiful, and Derbent is both majestically ancient and vibrantly modern at the same time. We wish Dagestan peace and harmony and hope it continues to grow as one of the most exciting travel destinations in Russia. Great tour! The program was very full and varied, it felt like I saw half of the Caucasus in just eight days! Absolutely amazing! Dombay and Elbrus are stunning! Even though the cable car ride isn’t included in the tour price, it’s definitely worth it! You won’t regret it!
